1.WTS: MIR Pro w/ Roompacks 5/17/2013 10:16:19 AM

yes grateful. but even more grateful that the european justice court protects me as an european costumer buying from an european company.

as stated in the deleted posting i totally understand that reselling libraries are somehow unfair. reselling software on the other hand should not be a matter of being generous or not. hey, vsl charges a fee of almost 25% of the selling price (in my case).
take a look at universal audio. even though the american law preveliges the companies, they even support trading their software. without any fees. it makes the product more valuable (see apple and its resale values)... but that's a maketing strategy issue ;)

2.WTS: MIR Pro w/ Roompacks 5/17/2013 8:23:42 AM

as i see you delete posts here? judge dread? ;)

or was it the price i mentioned? i already asked the question via mail if it is ok if i offer it here

3.WTS: MIR Pro w/ Roompacks 5/15/2013 1:29:26 PM

since my PC has some issues and I have less time for my favorite hobby music Music I thought about selling my MIR Pro (+ Roompack 1 & 2) licences

can anyone tell me anything about the politicies of selling licences? any rules which i need to follow? is there any plattform for that, such as ebay? transfer only possible with a elicencer key?

best / thx Wink

Yes, there will be reasonable upgrade paths. I fact, we plan to privilege our existing MIR user base. ;-)

nice. and hopefully there will be a special upgrade option for those who already have purchased ALL of your software ;)

5.Vienna MIR 1.2 - build 1810 available! 9/27/2010 9:23:43 PM

thanks very much florian. you've got mail :)

6.Vienna MIR 1.2 - build 1810 available! 9/26/2010 10:27:18 AM

i have 11 others showing. not sure if only this one is missing.

the output formats folder which is linked in perferences is completely empty and i can not find any other folder in my whole system named "OutputFormats" or any file containing "Mozart" (exept some MozardSaal files)
Maybe you just renamed the formats/files?

Thanks in advance!

7.Vienna MIR 1.2 - build 1810 available! 9/25/2010 1:19:45 PM

hi and thanks for the updates :)

since installing 1.2 the output format folder got empty. one of my older projects tries to find "Stereo - X-Y Wide - MozartS M2". are those moved to somewhere else? couldn't find anything using the windows search

8.MIR Update? 9/18/2010 11:02:29 AM

i had that problem some weeks ago with VI Pro. try installing the newest elicenser from http://www.elicenser.net/

9.MIR Update? 9/17/2010 12:52:52 PM

great :) it still says 1.1 but the release date is new. thx

10.MIR Update? 9/17/2010 12:35:32 PM

dont thank me. i am reloading http://vsl.co.at/de/68/428/709/239.htm every 5 minutes myself :D

11.MIR Update? 9/17/2010 12:14:22 PM

actually i got an email today saying 1.2 is available for download. i would say it is only a matter of hours now :)

btw: big thanks to the vsl team for the "auto convert" function (VI -> VI Pro) in MIR 1.2! Big Smile

12.Upsampling 9/14/2010 3:02:59 PM

thanks for the quick answer.
there are million answers in the internet but none of them can say which is better. now from the the MIR and VSLs point of view: would you say 88.2 is better or worst? better to have it x2 or is it also ok to have x2.18?

13.Upsampling 9/14/2010 1:09:42 PM

Hi there. I need a professional opinion. Maybe from Dietz? :)

Afaik the VSL libraries are 44.1kHz/24bit. I use Cubase and/or MIR.
Now: During the mix (not mastering, this is about the upsampling) is it better to work in a 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz environment? Or is there no significant difference?

Thanks for any opinion!

14.MIR: RAM question 9/3/2010 7:04:45 PM

Hi,

i understand that lower latencies are always better (in my case for
MIR) but what is about different latencies. someone told me to go for 9-9-9-24 (DDR3-1333) instead of 6-8-6-24 (DDR3-1600) because some multiplier issues. I appreciate any opinions on that :)

thanks!

btw: sorry for double post. nobody answered in the hardware forum.

16.Vienna Imperial in MIR - which one? 8/14/2010 11:14:37 AM

i think mmeixner talks about if you use close, player or distant in MIR. interesting question. i am not sure myself

17.The new MIR package 8/9/2010 6:32:03 PM

Are the MIR SE presets also available for MIR users? I have both: MIR and Special Edition (and more). So having some presets could make my life easier in some ways ;)

18.MIR and Cubase on 1 machine - Multiclient? 7/24/2010 9:52:45 AM

no, no, use my machine for that! :) 6 core and absolutely stable. and did i mention: i use rme ;)

i am hoping the best for MIR pro. the absolute highlight would be the posibility to add instruments directly in cubase and do all the rest in MIR. no virtual midi or audio routing etc

19.MIR and Cubase on 1 machine - Multiclient? 7/23/2010 8:17:10 PM

wow. do you have your own nuclear reactor for it? that "pc" can be used for weather forecast or the auto pilot of a rocket to mars :)

20.MIR and Cubase on 1 machine - Multiclient? 7/23/2010 7:24:07 PM

"Not shure I get the ADAT solution - is that not still the same driver? -
so two applications(clients) would still compete the same single-client ASIO driver ?"

Dietz' solution is almost the same (and he is the man who knows everything about MIR ;))

buy a cheap usb card with digital out and good asio driver and set this as output on MIR. or maybe your mainboard has digital out (herefore easily use asio4all driver!)

now in cubase you can use a digital input of MR816 (as audio input or virtual instrument). the only thing now missing is a digital cable between the devices ;)

btw: hi again! i would love to see your monster computer specs :)

21.MIR and Cubase on 1 machine - Multiclient? 7/22/2010 7:00:10 PM

as soon as you have the possibility to choose between different digital outputs, e.g. from your onboard sound card, you can route the audio signal from MIR with a optical cable to cubase (as an external instrument or audio input) and make your final mix there. afaik there is no software way yet to solve this problem except if your sound drivers allow internal routing.

I use a RME HDSPe AIO card and need to do the "optical cable trick" too. There i use the ADAT output channels 1 and 2 in MIR and ADAT input channels 1 and 2 in Cubase. Works fine.

22.Using SSD for VSL Library - Load times? 6/9/2010 1:12:38 PM

maybe it is not only the ssd/hd. cpu and motherboard and also the OS are important too i guess

if you need any help on your pc just pm me

23.Using SSD for VSL Library - Load times? 6/9/2010 11:44:17 AM

25min? Geeked

my system starts in about 30 seconds (win7 64, i7 980x, ssd). mostly because of the bios.

MIR and almost 12GB of VSL Samples take about one minute loading and starting

but i must say that i did a lot of PC tweaking

24.Using SSD for VSL Library - Load times? 6/9/2010 10:28:48 AM

I now only use SSD and have no problems at all.

Loading times are a bit faster than my previous hd raid.

25.MIR specs 5/12/2010 8:41:35 PM
imho you will have no problems with 20 instruments
i used MIR on a QUAD 9550 and 8 MB and it was ok with up to 25 instruments. but i had to optimize my windows a lot for that and had a high latency

anyhow i must admin that workig with MIR is more fun on my new i7 6-cores :)
