For the old VI Player you had to buy the PRO version to get tempo syncing. Which is (probably as in all other products realized) by stretching the samples.
If we're very lucky we're get it in a free update for the Synchron player.
In the meantime render the phrase as audio and do the stretching in the DAW.

For example, perhaps, I want to double the Cello and Double Bass used in Capricorn with a low brass library of my choice (whether it be Vienna or another library).
You mean you want the MIDI notes of the played phrases exported to the DAW?
Ok, nice. Are you aware that doubling for this means adding the same instruments again to the mix. You cannot exclude any instrument from BB.

Before Capricorn came out IMHI it didn't make any sense. After all it was only about sustains or hits.
Now it is in the spirit to add percussion phrases to accompany Capricorn. I can also imaginge swelling drum rolls leading to pitched hits or echoing drum hits. Maybe even unrhytmic percussion would do well with the microtuning FX patches.
