1.Will you still be using VI libraries in the future? 7/25/2022 1:00:10 AM

Giun: Thank you for your reply, that sounds great! Or isn't it? I'm a beginner, therefore could you please explain what real time playability is and elaborate a bit on that point? Thanks!

Achieving the same sound? From this website:

"But these instruments are much more flexible. By turning off the internal convolution and algorithmic reverb of the Vienna Synchron Player the instruments of these libraries can be placed in any virtual acoustic environment, and most perfectly in the rooms provided by Vienna MIR Pro 3D"

Personally, I'm a VI Super Package/Mir Pro 3D user. I was planning on getting everything synchronized when the package is complete. Until I read this thread, I was assuming I would be able to achieve the same exact sound as the VI/Mir combo?

A great point, I myself have this question, Im looking for the ideal VSL for me and I really need to understand this... Could we buy the synchronized, turn off the reverb and just use it like the normal VI, this way having both worlds? Please help us more experienced users..
Thanks!

HI seraz

I didn't get to listen to it a lot because i'm having techinical problems with my internet connection that i just can't figure it and no one could yet!

however from what i got, i like the piece and i think it will sound much better when it si mastered and mixed well becaue to me it sounded a little blury, i also like the colors, is it written for a middle age scene?

14.Epic intro 11/9/2011 12:14:10 PM

hello Donethur

it was a nice listen, but if you want my honest opinion i have to say that this fine arrangment could use of more original ideas regarding the melody, it sounded like a lot of cliched stuff..... this is not to put you down at all, it's just an honest advice to pull your attention, but other than that i enjoyed the piece and it looks like you've put real work to produce it.

may i please know what chopir you used? is it voxos?

16.Halloween themed piece written with the VSL Special Edition 10/13/2011 2:04:52 PM

No i didn't mean that yuou're not a professioanl, i meant that i wanted to check music done NOT as a demo produced by people specialized in VSL and done by them to sell the product :)

as for the cymbals, it's also a matter of taste and what you want from the instrument to feel like

17.Halloween themed piece written with the VSL Special Edition 10/12/2011 2:50:41 PM

Hi Intero

i like the atmosphere that you created, it also gives me hope becasue i just bought the SE bundle and i was wondering what kind of writing i can do with it, and i wanted to listed to works from users not professional demos

i should say i'm encouraged

i may be wrong, but i think the cymbals position is too far in the mix? what do you think?

18.how to buy a laptop for VSL SE , VI Pro and VS 7/15/2011 8:52:00 PM

Cyril, what's stopping me is that this live performance is going to be every week, yes, every single week, now it will start at 7 pm, i finish my job at 5 pm, so ihave 2 hours to get to my home, change my cloth, eat something, unplug the desktop, g to the place, plug the desktop, test the devie and hmmmm what do i forgot....... breathing Big SmileBig Smile

that's why i'm tinkng about getting a laptop Smile

the problem is that i can't estimate how a processor will act from reading its sspecifications Tongue Tied

20.how to buy a laptop for VSL SE , VI Pro and VS 7/14/2011 7:54:35 PM
thanks for your comments guys
looks like a laptop is not the best choice at all, plus it's gonna cost a lot.
however i wanted one because i need to use VSL on a live performance so I'm thinking now about doing the arrangmet at my destop computer, then load the project on a laptop and use the optimize feature, this way i can use the laptop in the live performance to set up the mixing setting and stuff without needing to do anything huge with VSL

will that be a good idea?

by the way : i didn't buy VSL yet, but as u see i'm preparing
21.how to buy a laptop for VSL SE , VI Pro and VS 7/13/2011 10:05:27 AM
WOW they need that much, but why in the system requirements page it's only 1 or 2 Gigabites for the SE bundle and the full orchestral strings!!!

24.how to buy a laptop for VSL SE , VI Pro and VS 7/12/2011 7:43:10 AM
let's say it's gonna be big and fast, woodwinds, strings, brass, percussion, you name it, of course i'm gonna do smaller things but i need a laptop that can do the large stuff
I'm interested in classical music and i like to vary my musical colors, so i need a lot of instruments
