1.VEP5 refusing to load server: eLicenser Control - Error 12/18/2011 7:06:51 PM

Actually, that link is for the VE PRO 5 manual, not the actual program.

Thanks Paul, that was it! I just killed the process and the Wizard worked fine.

3.VE 3 Installation Blues 8/25/2009 9:03:38 PM

Thanks, but since I bought VE 3 from the VSL shop, the software is already registered in my User Area. And when I try to use the LCC Wizard to download a license, I get an error message telling to quit software that uses eLicenser _even though no other software is running_. Silly!

Again, these are the latest versions of everything.

4.VE 3 Installation Blues 8/25/2009 8:37:49 PM

Hey gang,

I'm on Mac Pro, OS 10.5.7. I've just purchased and downloaded that latest version of VE 3. When I run the Ensemble, I'm told that, "A proper license can not be found to run this software". I have the latest LCC, my key is plugged in, and I can run Appassionata, Chamber Strings, etc as Vienna Instruments. I did get an email with my VE 3 codes, but I can't figure out where I should be entering them...

Thank you for any assistance.

5.Problems With Installation on Mac 3/18/2009 12:17:14 AM

Yes, thanks. I got the answer on a similar post I made on VI-Control. Too bad the VSL software does not know that that's the problem. How are we, the users, supposed to understand something like VI Online 75???

6.Problems With Installation on Mac 3/17/2009 9:48:07 PM

Hello,

I just bought the download version of the Tam-Tam XXL. All the files are in one folder, as explained. I also downloaded the latest version of the Vienna Instrument and Ensemble software, and installed both. When I run the installer, I get the following message:

The following licenses are needed to install this package:

VI Online 75

What is 'VI Online 75'?

Thanks!

7.RoundRobbin (repitition) issue...Herb? 9/1/2008 1:13:42 PM
Another vote for some kind of choice in the way the round-robin works. I'm doing a lot of repeated arpeggi à la Philip Glass these days, and it's quite frustrating to hear the same samples everytime. Maybe you could put this option (total random RR vs cycle RR) in a place for Expert settings or something.

8.Vienna Ensemble 2 crashing Logic (SOLVED) 9/1/2008 2:25:25 AM
Hi, just do a web search for synthtest, one word. Here's one link I found: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SynthTest/
9.Vienna Ensemble 2 crashing Logic (SOLVED) 8/31/2008 5:14:39 PM
I got it to work by using a small testing app called SynthTest. In it, the VSL Ensemble loaded up fine. I quit SynthTest, while leaving Ensemble loaded. I then ran Logic and the AU Manager's test ran smoothly. Happy, happy Ned!
10.Vienna Ensemble 2 crashing Logic (SOLVED) 8/31/2008 2:28:17 PM
I've just installed the latest non-network version of Ensemble 2, and it keeps crashing Logic every time I try to run the AudioUnit version for the first time. I have no problem booting up the stand-alone version of Ensemble, and the Vienna Instruments I have work fine - it's when Logic's AudioUnit Manager runs its test of Ensemble that it crashes, right after a series of Render Tests.

Anyone else experienced this?

My setup: Logic 8.0.2 + Leopard 10.5.4 + 8-core Mac Pro + 6 Gb ram
11.VSL Group buy in the future? 12/13/2004 2:20:45 AM

VSL is serious stuff. People on the fence about their VSL purchases really don't need what the library or the company has to offer.

Right... Confused And people who are on the fence because they've already invested in many other libraries are not serious. I smell the sadly familiar odour of snobbery in the air. Crying
12.VSL Group buy in the future? 11/22/2004 2:07:58 PM
Paul,

I think it's a win-win situation. It's only a one-month thing, so it's not like the seller is under-pricing the product for good. As for those who bought a given library before the sale, well we've all done that, no? I bought an Apple monitor that dropped 1,000 bucks in price 6 weeks later! Some of us also remember having spent that kind of money on a single sample cd (M.V. anyone? :rollSmile. I know I don't look back and say, "what a rip-off that was!". I just think of the money I saved on musicians'/recording fees! At the end of the day, IMO, you buy a given library because you need it NOW (for a gig), or because you've finally come into some decent money, or... because of a sale. Stick out tongue

Simple math for an hypothetical month:

20 copies at 700 US = 14,000

200 copies at 300 US = 60,000

Capiche? Cool

16.Groundbreaking Workaround Discovered!!! 3/13/2004 4:09:03 PM
Thanks for the wonderful news, S8T!

Any idea how those of us without a Logic Control could trigger all those instances of Logic in sync? Perhaps with a MIDI note-on or something?
