Hi, I have a behringher BCF 2000 and i would like to use for control like xfade and expression.
As well I have a double pedal control for my keyboard; the first one automatically give me the sustained effect. The other one is not used and i would like to use to switch articulations (in Y) in vienna instrument. I mean i use the keyswitches for the horizontal articuolation but the pedal could be a nice option to move in vertical, instead of the mood wheel.

I open an instance of VEP5 and create one instrument track with an instance of play with different samples, at different micdi channel. Each of those sample i rout with a different audio output( 1-2; 3-4; 5-6; and so on). Then on my instrument track in VEP i create different audio output so i can have all the patches loaded in play.
In Logic I create an instrument track as well with the audio outputs that i need.
Until now everything works fine.

Now, if i want another instrument track on the same instance of VEP5, i just do it, with all the patches and outputs that i need BUT the problem is, how can I control this other instrument track in Logic?

Because in Logic, if i create another instrument track i have to load another instance of VEP5 with another AU instrument. Basically i can not load the same instance.

So what i suppose to do now?

I would like to have in the end one track for each instrument in logic.(1: violin 1; 2: violin II; 3: violia; etc)

I'm testing VEP5 because i would like to buy but i still have problems to set up and i would like to be able to use it before the end of the demo . (few days)
I use Reaper and Logic so will be the same if you refer to both ( if i understand my issue in one sequencer i will be able to do it in the other one as well).


Basically I open the VEserver and create an instance.
I open my sequencer (reaper in this case) add an instrument track and load the instance of VEP.

Now on this VEP instance i create an instrument track and i load an instance of "play" (east west) for example and here I load 16 instruments ( or less) on 16 or less midi channel.
So my questions are:

1) How can i get the sound of those 16 midi channel speared in 16 tracks of VEP?
I suppose i have to choose the right midi port and the appropriate midi channel in all the tracks in VEP but i don't know how.


2)Once i've done this and i have all the sound i need in VEP, how can i get them back in Reaper ( or logic)???

I mean i should be able to select and play on a track in reaper that calls a specific patch loaded in Play which is loaded in VEP.

I sow the video many time, you know i just made some questions before to buy.
my main question is :
before i used logic and i couldn't have any template running, because a template basically has loaded all the patches and instruments that i will need.
Then i started to use reaper which works just great, also beacause of this template issue.
In fact with reaper you can open virtual instruements as fx and you can just baypass when you don't need. So if i have a template with 30 instance but i'm gonna use just 10, i put all the other 20 in bypass.

So is possible to that directly in VEP instead of use the sequencer?
I mean using VEP which is the real purpose of the sequencer at this point? just to edit notes, CC continous controller?

I've been watching this softwares for month and now i'm ready to buy but few questions pop ups in my minds:

1) VEP doesn't have an arrange windows right? so i should use a sequencer software as well?

2) At moment i use just east west libraries (not yet vienna but soon) so could i open those libraries directly in VEP or i always have to open as instruments in the sequencer?

3) does any one use VEP with reaper? how it goes?

4) which are the benefits if i use just one computer? (mac book pro 15 dual core 4 gb ram) can some gigabyte of ram improve the featureS?

The volume 2 seems to fit my needs but i was wondering if I can buy and use just this volume without having the number 1.

Hi, i' would like to buy Vienna ensemble pro to use with other vsti like play (east west) in my daw logic 9.
In logic i find very complicated some procedure for example assign midi controls (CC - expression, portamento etc). or control different channel for instrument track with multi instruments; change the fader tasks with transformer ( oh god that kills me i still don't understand after years how to use).
Now my question is if can I avoid all those complicated stuff using vienna ensemble pro. is a software able to do all those tasks, easily, since is made basically for midi?

i'm a musicology student and i remember that maybe moths ago they made this promotions.

Do you know if Vienna suite (and even Vienna ensamble) work with other libraries (like East West) and with plug-in (even the one integrated in logic?)
And, Vienna Suite is basically Vienna ensamble pro just with Effects(EQ, compress, REV, ETC.)?
