1.URGENT - All Orchestral Cube EXS24 Patches Crash Logic in OS X Yosemite 11/11/2014 9:20:43 AM
Hi. Since installing OS X Yosemite and I can no longer open ANY Logic arrangements that has EXS24 Orchestral Cube patches. Logic crashes as it tries to open those tracks. The only way to even open the arrangement is to disable core audio and then delete those tracks from the arrangement and then enable core audio again. Attempting to open ANY EXS24 Orchestral Cube patch in any Logic arrangement also now crashes Logic immediately. Does anyone know if there's a solution for this? Otherwise I'm in big trouble. Thanks.
2.Master & slave set up with external thunderbolt hard drives. 11/7/2014 1:29:32 PM
Hi I'm looking at my options for upgrading my DAW and have a simple query that I hope someone can answer.

Essentially I'm looking at getting a new quad core i7 Macbook Pro (16gb/250gb) as the master and a used quad core i7 Mac Mini (16gb/250gb) for the slave devices. The plan is to store all my VIs' core data and sample libraries on external thunderbolt SSDs. This way, as my instrument arsenal grows I can simply add extra SSDs.

Does anyone know for sure that it is OK to set things up like this? Is VEPro able to draw RAM and processing power from the slave machines even if those machines do not actually contain the core libraries for the instruments? Because if VEPro requires the instruments' data to be stored in the same device that it is drawing RAM and processing power from then I will need to ditch the Mac Mini slave option and consider a PC that has better future upgrade options.
3.Is it possible to connect keyboard controllers to slaves instead of master DAW? 4/6/2014 8:41:47 PM
Hi. I'm looking to set up a VEPro network with the main objective to enable several people to perform simultaneously playing various plugin combinations with a range of controllers. Obviously Logic is limited in its ability to multithread while monitoring inputs, so several dedicated 'stations' seems a logical solution. One of the most important considerations is to keep latency as low as possible and I'm concerned that having the controllers connected to the master DAW via USB, which then routed to the slaves and back into master DAW via ethernet and then D/A conversion could make the whole thing unbearable for my purpose. Therefor I have wondered if it might be possible to control the slave PCs directly for lower latency. Does anyone know if this is possible or does MIDI control have to come from the master DAW? I'm guessing it is possible but a more complicated if I needed to also record the MIDI information to the DAW. Please let me know if anyone knows the best approach. Thanks.
4.VE_Pro only finds my AU plugins not VSTs 6/30/2011 5:19:50 PM
Hi. I'm just trying the VE_Pro demo for the first time today and am finding that when I click on 'Adds a new AudioUnits channel' that the drop down list only contains my audio units plugins and none of my VSTs show up. Same goes for the FX insert list and in the Plugin list tab of the settings page. Should there be a separate menu for VSTs or should they appear in with the AU list?

Thanks
