2.Less noisy HDD for Desktop PC 7/12/2019 9:23:28 PM

Ciao Crusoe,

Thank you for the time you have spent for answering.
I use this HDD for archiving. I mean, there are files I use all day long on it as well. And I make safe copies of files on it every step in a work in progress. If I have a problem in the SSD I have a copy and if I want to go back to a previous stage of my work I can go. That could be a retrieval or a copy of a large video file. That's why I need 7200 rpm.
For the “official” backups I use external disks and they give me no troubles. At night the PC sleeps as me.
The case I have is the right one for me (I have personally choose every single part on my PC) and with the former HD It was really quiet.
2 days ago I have eventually bought a 2 TB Firecuda and it is right for me. So I will buy a second one for substituting the noisy 4TB.
Thank again,

Sergio.

3.Less noisy HDD for Desktop PC 6/23/2019 3:40:46 PM

Besides three  SSDs, I used to have one 1TB and one 2TB HDDs installed in my Desktop PC for just archiving without a significant noise from the PC. (I also use external HDDS for backups but I don't like having them always attached to the PC). I thought I could substitute the 2 internal HDDs with just one 4TB HDD but I find it really too noisy. So I think I will replace it with two  2TB new HDDs inside the PC. For what you know, which is the less noisy 7200 rpm 2TB  HDD to buy?

Thanks

Sergio

4.most versatile notation software to be used with Vienna VSL? 4/5/2019 8:19:37 PM

NOTION also has a very advanced management of VSL sounds libraries and articulations, and it has a very effective playback management (e.g. "conducting" tempo creation in real time like Sibelius, but easier, advanced VST mixer and plugin support etc.).

NOTION anyway for engraving is not as powerful as SIBELIUS and fits more basic and more automatic page/score management.

So, just for having the most articulated playback without caring for the engraving, you'd go the Sibelius 8 or the Notion way?

5.most versatile notation software to be used with Vienna VSL? 3/24/2019 10:13:41 AM

yes thanks

6.most versatile notation software to be used with Vienna VSL? 3/23/2019 6:03:01 PM

up to today, is Sibelius still the most versatile notation software to be used with Vienna VSL?

7.Finding a place for Epic Orchestra 2.0 in one of my SSDs 2/19/2019 8:53:01 PM

Thank you Paul,

that's what I was thinking but I wanted to be sure.

8.Finding a place for Epic Orchestra 2.0 in one of my SSDs 2/19/2019 6:32:32 PM

I have read about the new Vienna Ensemble 7.
I have 4 SSD
1. C: for windows 10 pro
2. T: where I create and edit my audio files using Studio One pro
3. V: for all the Vienna libraries except for
4. D: VSL Dimension libraries
D:  and V: are almost full so Epic Orchestra 2.0 can’t be installed there.
I cannot afford a new SSD at the moment so I need installing Epic Orchestra 2.0
in a new partition in C: or T:

Which SSD do you think is the best choise for the new partition (C: or T: ?

Why?  ( So I will learn how to manage these situations)

Thank You Sergio

If Steinberg charges VSL for deactivation of licenses, why not just pass these fees on to the customer that needs the service when it is actually needed?

I was asking to my self the same thing

10.Problem with Special Edition Flute 1 leg-sus 12/19/2016 6:59:42 PM

thank you Paul, as soonI go to the school I will follow your advise

11.Problem with Special Edition Flute 1 leg-sus 12/19/2016 6:16:35 PM

Nobody with an answer, or the question is not clear?

12.Problem with Special Edition Flute 1 leg-sus 12/13/2016 10:57:22 PM

I have a strange problem.
One  room with 12 splitted 88 keys master keyboards.

In Presonus Studio One Pro 3,3 I have made a template with 2 tracks.
then I have made 4 copies of the template named
All flutes
All oboes
All basson
All clarinets.
The only thing that changes in the 4 Studio One “songs” is the Vienna Ensemble configuration
The name of the "song” is really the only other thing I have changed, even the name of the 2 tracks in Studio one are the same for all the 4 copies.

For each Song I have connected one Vienna Ensemble with 2 tracks with the same sample. The one in the first track (MIDI Channel 1) is transposed 1 octave higher, and the other one (MIDI CHANNEL 3) is trasposed 2 octaves down so that in the 2 parts of the master keyboards I have almost the total extension of the instrument.

In this way 24 pupils of a school class  can play exactly the same thing using just 12 keyboards.

Now the problem:
only with the flute1 leg-sus I have that all the left sides of the keyboards play  a semitone higher than the right.
As all the 12 keyboards react in the same way, it shoudn’t be a wrong configuration of the keyboards, and as the setups in Studio one are the same shouldn’t be a Studio One problem.

This not occurs with Basson, oboe or clarinet leg-sus
Do you have an idea about what would be the problem with the flute?
On the monitor I see the right note pressed in both splitted areas.

The configuration is not the one at my home but:

Windows 10, Intel I7 extreme, 2 SSDs, Vienna Special Edition Bundle

13.The right time for VE PRO 6 ? 12/2/2016 2:33:45 PM

Sooner or later you will have to adopt it, so why not now that you are starting a new PC life?

After testing on my home Windows and MAC PCs, I have started a big project using VE 6 in a school just 2 weeks after its release, where they started with a new "big" PC, and everything.

I would hate changing software in the middle of it, Until now, the only "problem" I have is that each time I go I have to load a new patch, or almost.

14.Number of Vienna suite Pro activation codes 11/3/2015 6:04:26 PM

Are they 3 as for the Standard suite?

15.Video Monitor 2K or 4K 6/8/2015 4:06:32 PM

I want to buy a new video monitor.

I could buy a 27"" 2K or a 28" 4K one.

Does Vienna Library works good with 4K?

I don't have very good eyes.

Any advice or tips?

Thanks

16.What is your preferred DAW? 6/8/2015 3:58:41 PM
