5.[SOLVED] How to get Synchorn players to find samples - have a new hard drive 9/30/2020 1:16:21 PM

Hi,

I had to have a new hard drive installed with Windows 10 as it failed to start one day.

Have reinstalled most music programs and my vi instruments are fine, but my synchron pianos and vienna synchron player cannot seem to get their samples loaded. I'm just not sure how to re-set them up so they can load their samples. The samples are on a usb ssd.

thanks if anyone can help me.

best,

Steve

Hi,

on this page https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Product_Overview/BBO_Map, is a link to details of this BB Phoenix orchestra library, but it goes nowhere when you click on it.

Maybe this is not available at the moment as yet?

thanks if anyone can let me know.

9.fast repetition string patches no release option in SE1+ synchron library 8/13/2020 5:24:52 AM

Hi Paul,

thanks so much  for letting me know. I do appreciate that.  Is it possible to tell me if  there an option for this in the Dimension Strings Synchron player? I have the full dim strings VI library. I can do that easily in the VI player, but I don't know if we have that choice in the synchron version.

many thanks for your help here.

best,

Steve

10.fast repetition string patches no release option in SE1+ synchron library 8/13/2020 1:32:17 AM

hi everyone,

I've downloaded the trial Syncron SE1+ library to tryout with my the Sychron SE library.

I've found the fast repetition patches for the strings, and I've tried them out, sound great, but there is only one release controller in the 'perform' functions, and when I lower that down to zero, it still does not cut out the release samples properly. I've checked going into just the 'control'  area, but that with the horizontal sliding symbols, is a replication of the perform function panel. I'v gone into the edit panel, but cannot seem to turn them completely off there also.

I'm obviously missing something here. If anyone can tell me if this can or can't be done, that would be great.

thanks,

Steve

11.fast repetition string patches no release option in SE1+ synchron library 8/12/2020 11:42:08 AM

oh just found out, I can try the library out firsthand with a demo licence so no need to worry!

12.fast repetition string patches no release option in SE1+ synchron library 8/12/2020 12:12:03 AM

Hi to the forum,

I'm thinking of upgrading my strings in SE1 to SE1+ so I can then upgrade to the Synchronized SE1+ library.

However, what I'm hoping is that in the SE1+ library, for the fast repetitions in the strings, do they have the option for "note release", and "cut release" for the strings when you are using the fast repetition patches. I need these for a project I'm working on, and I'm using a fast repetition patch on a long melodic line, so I definitely need the rep patch to have no note releases after each note I play. You can have no note release in the Lyra fast rep. patches as I have these, so I'm just hoping this option is available in the SE1+ string fast rep patches.

thanks if someone can let me know.

Many thanks if someone can help me here.

15.Vienna Smart Orchestra 7/28/2020 9:29:06 AM

Hi David,

thank you for your reply. I'm just trying to work this out in my head, as I just clicked on the video of the smart orchestra, and the guy on it is playing back the sounds on the Synchron player. So these are samples recorded on the Silent Stage but they've been processed like the samples have been, that are now used in the Synchronized  Special Edition Synchron player?

thanks if you can clarify that for me,

Steve

16.Vienna Smart Orchestra 7/28/2020 6:12:41 AM

Hi,

just wanting to know. Are all the instruments in the Smart orchestra recordings taken from the Synchron stage only, or are they a mixture of sounds from the Silent stage and the Synchron?

thanks if someone can tell me.

best,

Steve

20.[SOLVED] Midi won't play back when opening VE Pro in Cubase 7/1/2020 6:57:25 AM

Hi Bbelius and Ben,

good news, I have it up and going. I opened up an enpro server first, and I didn't open anything else. I stuck a piano into it, and opened the en pro server into cubase, put it into a rack, and it played back perfectly. Now, I don't think that is what I should have done, as I didn't open up a normal ve pro [not a server], as everyone appears to do, but it worked. Maybe, as because I'm using just one computer, I don't have to open up the extra ve pro instances, but just stick with having the vepro server for playback? I don't know - I'm only guessing as this is all new to me, and I'm used to using the free Vienna Ensemble.

I'm not sure if  that is the correct way of doing it, but it worked. I now have to work out the right way and make that work.

Thanks for your help to both of you.

Much appreciated!

Steve :-)

21.[SOLVED] Midi won't play back when opening VE Pro in Cubase 7/1/2020 2:17:34 AM

Hi bbelius,

thank you for your reply. When you mean a rack instrument, I'm not sure what you mean by that. Is that simply where you go into cubase [I'm still using Cubase 5, but I'm intending to upgrade], select 'devices', select 'vst instruments', and then insert a vepro as in the picture I have put here? -is the drop down menu where I insert instruments, is that the rack you are meaning?  Thanks if you can confirm that.

22.[SOLVED] Midi won't play back when opening VE Pro in Cubase 6/30/2020 1:51:31 PM

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure how to do that. However, if you can help me get it working that will be good.

Many thanks,

23.[SOLVED] Midi won't play back when opening VE Pro in Cubase 6/30/2020 1:43:25 AM

Hi to the Forum

I'm wanting to work out if I can use VE PRo in Cubase, play back and record on the track etc.

I can connect my roland keyboard to the Standalone versions of VE Pro, but when I use it in Cubase, I cannot seem to get the midi keyboard to play through the channel in Cubase that I've got the vepro connected to.

Is this because it is the keyless demo?

thanks for any help,'

If I can do this, I would buy the licence.

many thanks,

Steve

24.NEW: Synchron Bösendorfer Imperial 6/23/2020 12:55:27 AM

Hi everyone,

I have the full version of the Bosendorfer. My computer is having struggles with it though. It plays well, but then when I'm adding large chords and the sustain pedal, I'm getting drop outs and clicks etc.

I have a Intel® Core™ i3-8100 Processor6M Cache, 3.60 GHz, and 24 gigs of ram. Maybe this processor is not fast enough? I'm just not sure.

I tried it also through the keyless vienna ensemble 7 tryout. As I have 4 cores, I decided to set it to one thread to see if that helped, but it seemed to be I was still having playback problems.

For the sound, I'm using a focusrite Scarlett solo for my soundcard. It's connected via usb.

I'm not sure what is causing the problem. I do have the SSD connected via an electrically powered usb port tree, and everything seems to be ok.

I would love some assistance if someone can help me here.

thanks,

Steve

25.[SOLVED] Are there patches for the whole section of each dimension string group? 6/17/2020 11:39:31 AM

Hi Paul,

thanks for explaining that. I kind of guessed that when I noticed on the full patchest, that there was stacked all of the violins 1-8.

thanks for letting me know. Now I understand the library so much better.

best,

Steve
