1.Controlling VelXF presets with Velocity 8/12/2020 9:49:36 AM

Every cell has an on/off switch for velxf.

2.cubase expression maps for SY dim brass 2/5/2020 9:12:08 AM

When creating expression maps I transpose the lower instruments 12 or 24 semitones in order to use keyswitches in the lower range and keep them consistent.

3.MIRx Synchron Extension 12/10/2019 2:07:34 PM

Do you really think, that there will be a Synchron MIRx extension, as long as VSL is able to sell their synchronized stuff?

Thanks for reporting. We will fix that with the next library update.

Thanks Andi.

Funny, that after two years the library is on the market, no one did recognize that there are missing samples.

Moving the dongle itselft works, too.

Problem with the A and B folder, other folders seem to work.

No one even tried it?

+1

Portamento would be nice (and getting rid of phasing, when xfading vib<->nonvib (which, I think, can't be archived with multi-mic wet libraries).

9.Synchron Player - Global IR dry/wet control? 11/22/2019 10:13:36 AM

Currently, if I wanted to adjust the dry/wet ratio of the Dimension Strings in my project, I'd have to click on 32 different faders by hand and adjust them or map them to a controller. And that only covers the "all players" presets. If I want to adjust the groups, desks and single players accordingly ... well, you get the idea. :)

Why don't using a controller?

Select all the tracks and move the desired fader.

So I do it with MirX.

Caveat is, that it only sends absolute values, so increasing all by 10, for example, doesn't work.

In the XFade Folder.

Do I have corrupt files, maybe?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Paul,

thanks for the reply.

Well, after plucking or bowing a string raising it's volume it's a quite difficult task, isn't it?

Even for well trained players. ;)

13.Little bug, Synchron Strings 11/14/2019 9:05:00 PM

Velocity XFade affects the release of the samples.

So after lifting your finger and raising XFade the release tail (and so does the reverb) becomes louder.

14.What is the Sample Rate and Bits per sample for Vienna Synchron Pianos when recorded? 11/12/2019 3:16:07 PM

Maybe for ProductionVoices, but for VSL it's already recorded originally I guess.

Lower and higher keys have been sampled in whole tone steps, not chromatically.

Me too. Releasing different rates libraries including 96K to be choosen by users for different usage is smart solution. As I said above, ProductionVoices has already done so, even though their 96K hasnt been sold yet.

Maybe before that, the other keys should be sampled, which haven't been.

128 ≠ 128

18.Could you add a "pedal setting" in pianos' sustain pedal? 9/18/2019 10:26:35 AM

Pressing the pedal completely down should always send a value of 127.

If not: pedal broken.

I'll try that again:

  • We recorded the keys contained in C major from the lowest key to E2 and to the highest key from G5.
  • The range between E2 and G5 was recorded in half-tone steps.

Best,
Paul

Now I got it. :D

With all possible mic positions, there is also a limit for the total number of Wav files per instance.

So we have recorded the deeper registers from E2 down and in the higher registers from G5 up in C major, and we're very happy with the results.

I hope you are as well!

Is this a "yes"?

Or would I do better to put VE Pro on my iMac and use it as a slave for an additional 32 GB of RAM?

Thanks,

I asked the same question, too, and came to the answer that I don't neet another level of complexity between my Sequencer (Cubase) and the VSTi.

My Computer is powerful enough for the things I do. Loading times are pretty fast. Crashes happen not very often. I don't want another mixer in a mixer...

I use instrument tracks. One for each Instrument, using custom presets and expression maps.

But: to each their own.

22.Mixer settings 7/12/2019 4:38:42 PM

Could you?

23.Mixer settings 7/8/2019 2:45:27 PM

push and:

Could make VSL the mixer presest available for download?

If you make your own presets from scratch, they can't be selected.

Would make things a lot easier.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, yes, sorry.

Synchron Strings (std.) and Synchron Player (both newest Version), Win10 & Cubase 8.5pro

I've made my own presets some month ago, with an older version of sy-player.

Unfortunately the mixer settings which are provided with the factory presets can only be used in your own presets, if you resave them (the dropdown menu in the mixer section doesn't show them while creating your own presets).

Now, i can't even load mixer settings, the load window won't open.

Am I sure, that one player update did change the file format, so I have to re-do my presets?

25.Mixer settings 7/4/2019 8:20:43 PM

Please make the actual factory mixer settings available for download to use them with custom patches.

I loaded and resaved the old factory mixer settings, but they dont work anymore and its a pita to do it again.

Thx.

BTW, my old presets don't work too, anymore:

I can't load mixer presets.

The loading dialogue just does not appear.
