Ah nevermind, false alarm! I uninstalled Synchron player and reinstalled from Vienna Assistant and the plugin stopped crashing. So I guess that could be a solution for anyone else who may run into this problem

Hello VSL Team!

I ran an update yesterday, and it caused my reaper project to crash. Now upon rescanning my vst plugins, 
only `Vienna Synchron Player Surround` shows up in my plugin list. And worse, if I load up a project referencing the non surround version `Vienna Synchron Player`, reaper crashes instantly. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing issues with vst3 since the update, but it put a hard stop to my music writing session yesterday.

Vienna Assistant says the latest version is 1.3.526, so I guess this is when problems started coming up for me. I think im pretty faithful about updating so Im assuming this is a new issue. I've tried rolling back the version with vienna assistant as well but the current version doesn't seem to be changing so not sure if the rollback is even working or not.

Ah yes you're right! I just checked their forums and they are indeed using discourse. I know a lot of orgs that have started using it; hopefully VSL will as well

Yea. The general experience of the entire vsl website on mobile is really bad. I wonder if the VSL team would be open to migrating the forum to discourse. Discourse is a really popular forum application that has taken off in the software engineering world. It has a great user experience on both mobile and desktop, and it takes care of all of the common features you'd expect from a forum. Its Open source so it's free to use. An example: discourse.haskell.org. It'd be nice to get an upgrade like that going

Just curious, has anyone heard any whisperings of a Synchron Solo Strings library in the works? I've had my eye on the Synchronized Solo Strings, but I'm wondering if I should hold off in case a Synchron version is released!

Got it! I continued tweaking the settings and was able to reach a sound closer to what I was looking for. Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely have to look into those envelope settings!

Hey everyone, first time poster on this forum, but I've been a fan of VSL for a long time. I recently purchased Elite Strings during the black friday sale (how can you resist right?). 

I'm currently writing a piece and there's a specific type of sound I have in mind that I'm trying to get with the strings. It sounds like this:

I'm specifically referring to the strings playing that quickish up and down line. 

Can this type of sound be achieved with elite strings? If not, which vsl library would be best suited to that? It sounds a little bit more raw and "wood-like" I guess. Or perhaps there's some other instruments layered over the strings to produce that effect?
