1.MacBook Pro as a Master?? 10/30/2013 7:26:20 PM
Everything routed through VEPro, slaved from my PC.

However, when I'm on the road (using just the MacBook), I'll just load the VI's directly into Logic/Cubase.
2.MacBook Pro as a Master?? 10/30/2013 5:01:20 PM
Thanks.

Yes, I already use two screens in my current setup. I will be running Cubase 7 and Logic X.
3.MacBook Pro as a Master?? 10/26/2013 5:13:15 PM
Hello,

I'm in the market for an additional computer for my setup. Since I now require portability, I'm considering a top end MacBook Pro, and using it with VEPro to slave my current PC. Does anyone here use a MacBook as a master? I am primarily MIDI based, and score to picture.....nor sure how well it would perform.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks,
Wolfie
4.USB3 vs. internal sata 10/26/2013 5:09:16 PM
Putting a SSD on USB 3 is a waste of money....you'll get the same results as a 7200HDD on USB 3. I recommend installing the SSD internally on a SATA III port, or via an external eSATA connection if you have one. Unless you're using a huge library such as EastWest's Hollywood Diamond series, a single SSD is adequate.
5.How do I load multiple instruments within one instance of a VI? 7/18/2013 2:52:10 AM
Hello,

I'm unclear on something. I can successfully load a single instance of a VST (Kontakt, Omnisphere, Play, etc) in channels one through 16 of a VEPro instance. However, I'd like to know how to load multiple instruments within the VI instance itself (load 8 patches within an instance of Omnispehere for example), and route them to MIDI tracks in my DAW. Is this possible? Or am I limited to one instrument per VI instance?
6.Worth Running on a Single Machine? 2/16/2013 11:00:48 PM
Sorry, this has probably been asked a million times....

I love the way VE Pro 5 works on my system in terms of keeping all my VI's simple. Before I shell out, is it really worth using on my single PC? What exactly are the advantages?
7.Separate Channel Strips for Single Instance? 2/16/2013 10:39:24 PM
Is there a way to create a new channel strip for each channel within a VST instance? For example, if I use 8 MIDI outputs (separate instruments) in a single instance of Kontakt, can these be assigned to channel strips, or is it limted to one strip per instance? Pardon my ignornace :0)

Thanks from a Noob
