1.BBC Symphony 12/15/2019 5:54:10 PM

I am running BBC through VEP 7 and no issues. It runs smoothly. I have an SSD Raid where the samples are, which might help mitigate pops and clicks.

2.Driving a VEPRO instance with a single MIDI channel 12/15/2019 5:48:16 PM

I mean, if you wanted to control them all with one midi track, set them all to the same midi channel. To have them individualized and grouped, the best way to do this is in your DAW.

For example, I do this in Digital Performer. I would set it up something like this:

Horn I - 0 ms MIDI Delay (on MIDI track)

Horn II - 10 ms MIDI Delay (on MIDI track)

Horn III - 7 ms MIDI Delay (on MIDI track)

Horn IV - 13 ms MIDI Delay (on MIDI track)

Then a Device Group linked to the midi tracks of Horns I-IV and a MIDI track with the output of that device group.

Horns I-IV - Controlling the four midi tracks which includes the delays that are on the tracks.

If you use Pro Tools, or Logic, etc it should be able to do something like this. Hope this helps and do some googling about the equivalent of MIDI Device Groups from DP in other programs.

I should add: This program looks like what you may be looking for: https://divisimate.com/

3.Noob question regarding VEP workflow. 12/15/2019 5:42:38 PM

This should be a very easy setup. Make sure you get a vienna key for each computer using VEP.

Also, i'd suggest saving a template of the Vienna Ensemble Pro server that you're using and bring it to the next location you're at. It would be key to open the right Server on the right machine that will be opening the instruments from those specific libraries.

Example: Computer A runs DAW and some Kontakt, Computer B runs Omnisphere and East West.

Make sure you save two templates, each server project so that when you open it up in your next location, it will be Computer B loading Omnisphere and East west, and Computer A opening DAW and Kontakt.

If all goes well, you should be able to open the VEP servers (again on the proper computers) and then open the DAW session and all should go well. If you have libraries in different drives/locations, you will need to relink those and may need to reconnect VEP instances to the DAW if needed. Nothing major, and nothing like not havin gVEP. It's a huge time saver.

*Open VEP before the DAW so it doesn't get confused.

4.VEP Autosaves every 1-2 minutes even though autosave is set to 0 minutes (never) 12/14/2019 7:48:00 PM

OS 10.14.6

VEP 7.0.926

Digital Performer 10.1 (Set to autosave every 10 mins)

Single Machine Setup

5.VEP Autosaves every 1-2 minutes even though autosave is set to 0 minutes (never) 12/14/2019 7:23:33 PM

What can I do to stop this. It's making my workflow so slow.

6.BUG: VEP 7 Not showing CPU Usage % in bottom right corner 12/14/2019 6:17:19 AM

BUG: VEP 7 Not showing CPU Usage % in bottom right corner

Not sure why it's doing this. Any ideas?

Just started showing after being open for 10 mins
