OK, I purchased the standard library now and have that file as well as the extended library file registered and authorized. I assumed that i should download the standard library first, which I have tried to do.

It was a bit confusing on the site because i had thoght yesterday I had purchased both libraries at the same time. But in reality it was just the extended library. And that's why the download manager link was missing from my downloads page. As soon as i purchased and registered the standard library, presto, the download manager shows up.

Now I'm trying to download the standard library to my destination hard drive and nothing is happening in the download manager window. It says the status is  "downloading", but no servers are selected (0/0) and the ETA says "3550w 5d".

I have submitted a "help" ticket to support. I guess I need to wait and see what they say?

That's why the files to download in the download manager are only 1GB instead of 3GB. Makes sense. And it's probably why the download manager won't download this file:

I should have both the stadard download available along with the "extended" library, correct? It's trying to download the extended library and there's no standard library folder in my HDD.

How can i get the correct files? Should probably contact support i assume.

Not at all. None of what you descibe above apprears. 

What you have shown above is not what appears on my Safari (5.0.6) web browser when i open the "downloads" page.

I have clicked on the link you provided for the MAC (OS X 10.5 or higher) and niow I have the download manager on my desktop. I dragged the SE-Strings-plus.vsidownload into the manager and it is ready to download.

Yes. Followed all the instructions to the letter. When i downloaded the "Download Manager" with this file extension: ".vsldownload " and double-clicked the file, OSX asked which application to use to open this file. OS 10.5.8 did NOT recognize this as any kind of MAC application.

I repeated this a number of times. I looked for another application in the VSL folder. and nothing. So either the link is broken or its the wrong file for MAC?

That URL you gave me went to the "Download Manager HTML" for manual downloads not the actual files i purchased. The manual i have. I don't have the download manager for this library-

Thanks for the URL. I'll give it a try. Although I have noticed that the VSL copany server (IP) is running a bit od today.

Just purchased the SE Strings Plus Extended library. Got it registerd and authorized in the e-licenese key fine. then when i go to the user area as the email suggests i do here;

The files are now available for download in the User Area

What is this .app supposed to be? and what .app in OS 10.5.8 is used to open this file?

Just purchased the VSL Appassionata Strings 1 and I'm wanting to be sure it will run on my platform.

I am running a PPC G5 with 8GB of RAM dual-core 2.5Ghz processor and my Sequencing software is Digital Performer 7.23 And the operating system is running OS 10.5.8 with iLok keys.

The site says:

Apple G4 (G5 or Intel Core 2 Duo/Xeon processor recommended) with Mac OS X 10.4 or higher

I'm just curious if any users of this library are running it successfully on a G5 PPC similar to my setup above and if there any problems you have encountered?
