1.MirX extensions for Synchron Stage 4/9/2020 10:19:42 AM

Also a +1 from me

I definitely miss an easy possibility to blend Synchron instruments with non Synchron instruments. Alternatively also a Vienna Suite Synchron IR and some presets would be a solution I'd be willing to pay for ... Or somebody who can create some templates to at least match Synchron reverb a little ...

MIR 24 + Synchron Room pack would be the way to go, but is a little but over my budget

2.Settings for Synchron 5/13/2019 9:31:26 AM

Hi Dietz, thanks for the answer!

What I am looking for is a simple (and affordable) way to have instruments automatically placed in a room (for people without real mixing skills). Does not need to be perfect but at least a good start.

Until Synchron i just put MIRx in VI Pro on all of my Library and was ready to go - In combination with Synchron Libraries this just got way harder.

Using the Presets of Synchron and Synchronized Libs is one way (And also the way I currently do it with Smart and Epic Orchestra) but repurchasing everything is somehow not really the way I want to go (and even not possible with my Special and DL instruments ...)

So any solution would be highly appretiated (Eventually a VE Template for the most common instruments including placement and convolution reverb that somehow matches to Synchron presets?)

Nobody else having this problem?

Best regards

Gabriel

I know it is a quite old thread, but any update on this topic?

4.UPDATE 2019: VIENNA SMART ORCHESTRA 9/29/2018 6:24:06 PM

So I tested the lib for some hours and I absolutely like it!

Great playability out of the box, easy to use and easy to learn, but still offering an enormous flexibility (for these amount of articulations).

Great Work VSL!

P.S.: This is how I wished Synchron strings could be (advertised with Beauty of Simplicity and slogans like this).

5.Vienna TC Training Center in English 6/18/2018 9:05:13 AM

I joined it in german and really liked it! Great value for money!

The courses start monthly, so no need to hurry, and (at least when I did it) the timing was very flexibel.

Best regards

Gabriel

The fortune teller seems to be unreliable!

8.Licensing Question from a Noob 5/29/2018 7:08:20 PM

Hi PaulieDC

Yes, you really have to use a physical hardware dongle to protect the licenses.

Not happy about this either, but it seems this is still the only way to protect VSL - for me it is worth the risk.

I don't know how reliable your fortune teller is, so I would rather hear from VSL directly.

So today we might be able to judge the reliability ;)

Thank you Paul! As always i know that good instruments don't make the Player better ;)

11.Yamaha CFX released! 5/3/2018 10:54:49 AM

Hi!

Just out of curiosity ... Is there any non-edited demo? So just load any preset and start playing? I assume especially for piano this should be doable ;)

Great, thanks!

13.Synchron Strings I 2/23/2018 10:36:59 AM

Hi all

Any updates on Synchrons? (e.g.: Player Videos, Player Beta Version, Missing Legato Patches, ...?)

BR

Gabriel

14.Please I need help to choose 2/23/2018 10:23:36 AM

@1) Really depends I'd go for Synchron as they seem to be the "Next Generation" thing

@2) My favorite is Synchron, but just compare the demos (And if you choose Synchron at 1, then definitely Synchron)

@3) I can't compare Strings, but on Woodwinds the differences are
-) Articulations (You know already)
-) Velocity Layers --> Huge Benefit on Full
-) Half-Tone Sampling --> For me not a real game changer, except when adding second violins over transpose function

15.Vienna Special Edition Vol 1 2/16/2018 8:12:49 AM

Hello Kayhan

For Volume 1, there are Keyboards (Piano, Celesta) inside Percussion, but as far as I know no Guitars (They are only in Vol2)

Hope this helps

Gabriel

16.Synchron Player 2/9/2018 7:51:05 PM

They manage the licensing part with Time Stretch already, And completely independent how big one Mic Position in the final version will be, (Let's assume it is X GB), I would prefer to store 5*X GB on Slow Drive and 1*X GB on SSD, and still would like to get this feature implemented (with low priority). And yes, there will be some tinkering, but for me as amateur I prefer tinkerinv over HW investment :)

So let's agree to disagree here

17.Synchron Player 2/9/2018 1:42:58 PM

Hi Fahl,

I don't think I get your point.

With Full version the math would be even better

I don't know how big full is so I am guessing here a little

For one Instrument (Violin 1) You have 8 MIC Positions á 15 GB --> 120 GB

You either store these 120 GB on an expensive SSD, or - What my recommendation would be - Store these 120 GB on an inexpensive Storage and only use your "Mix Down Position" (15 GB) on the Fast Storage.

Multiplying this by 5 (Assuming all instruments with full legato patches have comparable storage requirements) would mean

120 GBx5 =
600 GB SDD or 600 GB Slow Disk + 75 GB SDD

So there is a HUGE financial benefit there, by still having full flexibility (On the cost of preparation work, moving samples, ...) - with secondary effects of requiring less Memory and CPU.

[Edit]

And you could even make it better by removing the now obsolete Mix-Down Position , which would bring you down to 525 GB Slow Disk and 75GB SDD (enven though I am not shure if I want to go this way ...)

[/Edit]

18.Synchron Player 2/8/2018 6:36:00 PM

You almost got it with "render individual patch mixdowns"

For the violins in Standard version:

I need ~70 GB of storage for 5 (in reality 4) Mic Positions. This means 1 Mic Position has around 15 GB.

If i now make my own "Mixdown" exactly as I want it I will require additional 15 GB of storage space (as you wrote)

However what I could do now is to put the original 70GB ona a slow and cheap harddrive and only take my personal mixdown on my SDD.

This might not be the perfect way to go if you want to alter the mix in every track you do, but as my approch is "make it nice once and then use it forever" it would grant me 55GB for 5 Instruments --> 250 GB overall SDD space

19.Synchron Player 2/6/2018 8:29:48 PM

Btw, did you already think about a "Mix Down" Feature for the Synchron Player?
So you once choose your mix (from all positions als desired) then click the Mix-Down Button and "new" physical files are created with exactly this Mix.

I assume this feature could be handled very similar to VI-Pros time stretch functionality, and would not only allow to safe some memory/CPU, but in addition also SSD Space (having 5 MIC positions on slow hard disk and only the "Mix-Down" position on SSD.

Anyhow this does not need to be a "day one" feature :)

20.Please provide in MIR-Synchronstage venue a positionmap of the Synchron-Instruments 2/3/2018 6:32:40 PM

Any chance of preorders during February? ;)

21.Synchron Strings I 1/26/2018 12:49:52 PM

Let me try again

There is one free VSL Remote Control "Tool" - This is what Paul shows in synchron videos and it's functionality / look and feel is comparable to VI-Pro "Basic View". (I assume this is what you mean with "webpage in the player")

There are numerous non-VSL Midi Controller Tools/Apps, but these I don't know

Hope this could lift some of your confusion

Gabriel

22.Synchron Strings I 1/26/2018 7:36:54 AM

Hi Adia

I am not aware of a "iPad Remote Control" you can buy

If you already have Vienna Instruments Pro, just check in the anual on how to access it from your iPad (you just have to open your browser and go the the IP Adress of the mashine)

Then you can play around with it and most of your questions should be gone

Hope that helps

Gabriel

23.Looking for Woodwind Library 1/25/2018 1:59:08 PM

I only have Flute as full download instrument, but the difference is incredible! Especially the velocity layers really make a difference!

24.Combining instruments 1/24/2018 8:34:12 AM

Yes, just load them in paralell slots (so under the slot of your patch)

So if you take Orechestral Violins and a solo violine under the violin patch -> they will be played at the same time.

You can also use the Slot right of the slot and control the volume with Crossfade

In both cases you can also change the patches individually (transpose, volume, ...)

Details in Manual from page 24 onwards

25.Switching to Cubase 1/24/2018 8:08:05 AM

I am using it, happy with it, and ready to answer questions :)

Best feature for VIs are expression maps, I really love the combination of Midi controler view, with available articulations, and also having the same in notation view as well!

Best regards

Gabriel
