1.Very High CPU usage on VEP7 12/24/2021 4:36:26 PM

Excellent recommendation, I was wondering why Synchronized Dim Strings was maxing my CPU.

Thank you!

7.Synchron FX Strings I released! 6/29/2018 3:48:23 PM

Can you use MIRx with Synchron FX Strings for stage placement?

Or is this uneccessary with the Sychron Player approach?

8.Pops and Clicks with VEP6 and Audio Event (Amplitube 4) 6/25/2018 1:48:46 AM

hi,

not sure how to configure this.

i have VEP6 running all my orchestral VIs (VIP and Kontakt) - works great.

But i can't get the Audie Event to track with Amplitube 4 or other amp sims without serious crackling and breakup.

Using Studio One v4.

Windows 10 Pro

suggestions?

thanks,

fred

how do you download and install the extension?

is the Articulation Assistant part of the extension?

12.MIR Pro on non-VSL Tracks - VST Insert? Apologies in Advance 1/25/2018 4:36:07 PM

hi all,

i am slowly getting my main VSL libraries lined up.

absolutely incredible.

i'm sure this question has come up many time, but i want to be sure...

MIR Pro can be used as a typical VST Plugin Insert on ANY audio/midi/instrument channel within a DAW like Studio One Pro, yes?

With VEP 5 i could do this as well?

thanks.

13.Moving on from SE 1, Chamber and Solo Strings 1/21/2018 4:25:09 PM

i posted this on another forum, but i thought i'd add it here since after much though, i want to stick with Vienna Instruments.

I have been told not to invest more in the SE universe and move to the "Real" libraries.

I have MIRx and a couple of halls as well.

Thoughts?

Hi,

I have Special Edition Vol. 1, Chamber Strings I, and Solo Strings I.

Thoughts on where to go next?

SE 1 Plus? SE 2?

Woodwinds I? Brass I?

Use - budget tracks for technical animations and personal projects.

Nothing heavy, but would still like to flesh out my SE 1 library to cover full orchestra.

I lean solo and chamber, though. Conflicted, i know.

14.Setting up VEP 5 and Notion 6 1/16/2018 7:35:41 AM

Hi,

I was hoping to find a step-by-step for VEP 5 and Notion 6.

What i am fuzzy with is assigning multiple channels within a VEP 5 instance in Studio 1 to staves in Notion 6.

thoughts?

thanks,

fred

15.Synchron Strings with Notion; Holst Charterhouse Suite 1/16/2018 7:33:09 AM

sounds and looks great.

i am finally getting to use (learn) Notion 6 and Vienna Ensemble Pro 5.

how do you get multiple instruments inside a VEP instance in Studio One to link to Notion?

thanks,

fred

16.What would you add to Special Edition Vol. 1? 8/2/2017 1:12:28 PM

hi all,

slowly gearing up for my Q4 2017 projects.

I currently own SW Vol. 1 and i am about to spring for MIR Pro 24.

for small ensemble, jazz-fusiony with Webern-esque type constructions...

what would any of you recommend beyond SE V. 1?

i have other orchestra VIs (HSO and access to EW).

but i'd like to stay within VSL.

suggestions?

thanks!

fred

17.Vienna Newbie - MIR Pro 24 Advice 8/2/2017 1:08:21 PM

Thank you both for the thorough answers.

MIR Pro 24 with Room Packs 1 & 2 seem like a great way to go for starters.

MIR Pro is the LAST piece of my puzzle for all my upcoming projects.

NAILS IT!

-

now, to figure out what instruments to add to my current baby-step Special Edition Vol. 1.

alas, another thread.

THANK YOU!

18.Vienna Newbie - MIR Pro 24 Advice 8/1/2017 11:15:33 PM

Hi all,

I am looking at MIR Pro 24 as an environment solution.

I am a LITTLE confused about MIR Pro, MIR Pro 24, and MIRx.

MIR Pro 24 is limited to 24 instruments - i think.

Which is great as i will be creating small jazz/rock/classical ensembles.

I assume MIRx are simply SPACE LIBRARIES.

How does MIR and Ensemble Pro 6 overlap? Do they?

Is there any HOSTING/Networking ability in MIR Pro24?

I am in the middle of moving my studio, so i can't try the demo for another week or so.

I am thinking Room Pack 2 for my Fusion-esque style of compositions.

Any input appreciated.

fred

19.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/22/2016 2:32:15 AM

goodness gracious.

installed, up and running.

WOW!

kinda hacked my way through the install. couple of elicense snags.

but all is good.

fantastic stuff!

happy new user.

20.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/21/2016 3:17:14 PM

The spare key thing is a pretty good idea.

If i get a second eLicense key, would i register that as a second dongle with Steinberg?

Would i register VSL on both, or just have the key ready to go if something happens to my initial key?

sorry for all the questions - appreciate the fast response.

just got an email from my retailer, should get the licensing within 24 hours.

excited! love the player and the matrix approach.

fred

21.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/21/2016 12:23:56 PM

just purchased.

22.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/21/2016 12:21:46 PM

i've been reading about maintaining the physical dongle through VSL.

something about getting a new one every 2 years?

is there a web page that describes this in detail?

is this used as an insurance against damage, loss, or theft?

thanks again!

fred

23.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/21/2016 12:19:26 PM

Hi Paul,

Wow, that was fast.

I do have a physical key.

24.About to dive in to VSL - eLicenser question 12/21/2016 12:13:20 PM

Hi,

i will  be getting my feet wet with Vienna Symphonic Library Special Edition Volume 1 : Essential Orchestra.

I have an eLicense dongle I use with Halion 5, the Grand 3, and HSO.

I should be good to go with this dongle, yes?

thanks - look forward to joining the club!
