1.Leap Motion as MIDI Controller for Velocity Crossfade 2/15/2013 10:19:53 PM

I ordered one around 3 weeks ago or so. Havn't heard anything yet, so I think they're shipping slow at the moment. However, the leap motion with combined with some connections through some app like Cycling 74 - Max, may be possible. I think it's genius for daw users if we can write apps for it.

2.Ipad app for VI Pro 10/4/2012 12:26:11 PM

Any news on the ipad app?! :)

3.VS reverb plugin don't show up in VE pro 8/28/2012 3:49:28 PM

Nope, its an AMD FX 8-core processor, I believe its the 'FX Series 8120 Black Edition 8 Core' and the new Goniometer works fine as well. Just the reverbs.

4.VS reverb plugin don't show up in VE pro 8/28/2012 11:07:16 AM

Hello guys and VSL team, I'm having into a little issue with the Vienna Suite reverb plugins. Basically I have 4 audio workstations, 1 master and 3 slaves hooked up together through VE pro. All Vienna Suite plugins are installed on the slave machines . For some strange reason, on one of the slave machines both the VS Hybrid and the convolution reverb are not showing up in VE pro. I tried reinstalling them of course, but no luck. I know the plugins path in VE pro is set correctly since the rest of the VS plugins do show up and work just fine. Any ideas? Cheers!!

5.Ipad app for VI Pro 8/27/2012 12:46:27 PM

Oh God, I'm speechless! I would love to try out the beta. Thanks so much VSL. ... So when shall we expect to try the beta?! Can't wait :)

6.My Vienna Imperial Grand plays the wrong notes, and when I depress sustain, the entire keyboard... 8/8/2012 11:47:31 AM

Awesome! Thanks Paul. :)

7.My Vienna Imperial Grand plays the wrong notes, and when I depress sustain, the entire keyboard... 8/7/2012 11:15:15 PM

Ok, basically I had installer v609 saved on an external drive so I thought I should give it a try. I uninstalled the latest version, installed a previous version a worked flawlessly like ever before. Therfore I'm assuming its some sort of issue with the latest version. I guess for now you should work with the version before the current. It's rock stable.

8.My Vienna Imperial Grand plays the wrong notes, and when I depress sustain, the entire keyboard... 8/7/2012 10:32:14 PM

Same problem here mate. I have just uninstalled the latest version of Vienna imperial, and gonna try an older version. See what happens.

9.VE PRO WISH LIST 2/15/2012 12:40:42 PM

A simple nice thing to have is perhaps an autorun feature, for VE server. Also it would be nice to hide certain unused buttons. For instance if I have a licence for VIpro it is very very unlikely to use VI standard player, therefore it would be nice if I could hide the button at the bottom. Cheers.

10.How VSL treat their customers! 1/7/2012 10:35:35 AM

I also like this license scheme idea. As I said previously, something so prestigous requires more protection. I still recomend that elicencer build stronger, more heavy duty dongles. A couple weeks ago, while I was taking my license key from my MIR machine to another pc to register more licences, the key accidentally fell off my hand. It ended up in 3 pieces. I was able to assemble it and luckily, it worked just fine. It could have been worse. While I fully agree with a license scheme, just in case of theft or any other unpleasant reason, I prefer not to get into any hassle in the first place. Also we must not forget that having a license scheme or not, can take a considerable amount of time, in order to get everything back to its place.  I mean, although one can take medicine when being sick, its always better to avoid getting sick in the first place, when you can :-)

Well I love VSL. But I too would be furious if I had to go through all the above and if I understand correctly - pay €20 per licence. Furious.

Agreed! I have around 20 full library collections, several download instruments and other Vienna software, all on one key. (Because everything runs through MIR). Sometimes I have to take the dongle out, for mulitple reasons. I can't even imagine having issues like the ones mentioned above. Apart from the cost, I use VSL for work which I am bound with very tight deadlines. I simply CANNOT afford to fail on delivering to my clients. Infact one of the reasons I love VSL, is because the software is rock solid! When thinking about this, I think Syncrosoft and every other similar company should consider building military grade dongles made of other material than plastic. And also having the ability to pull-in the dongle interface plug, like some USB pen drives available on the market. As much as this might sound a bit over the top, after considering the amount of money spent on software licences and how much time, money and hassle it takes to bring them back, I guess it all starts to make sense.

12.Jazz Drums - Pretty please? 12/30/2011 6:25:21 PM

Yeahh. I happen to be that stupid guy that did not buy Vienna Suite immediately, therefore I lost the opportunity to get the brilliant jazz drums for free. But the worst part is that I cannot even BUY them, haha.  +1! for jazz drums here :-) And for the MIR profile as well, plss :-) I've just purchased Vienna Imperial to my VSL collection btw, I'm anxiously waiting for it.

13.Wowed with the new releases 11/19/2011 5:07:38 PM

I happened to roll my cursor over the MIR pro part of the picture in the home page and it was active before it showed "out now". I watched the new video tutorials, and was speechless. MIR pro and VE pro5 combined seemed like the greatest idea. and VI pro2.. OMG. Well done to all the developers. and the all the VSL team!!!! I feel so honoured to use these products. :)

14.MIR Pro / Vienna Ensemble 5 10/27/2011 4:08:55 PM

Soooo, we shall expect MIR Pro and VE Pro5 as from 1st November?!! :)

I'm so glad to hear this. Although most people including myself are feeling so jealous right now for not laying our hands on it:)

17.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 9/14/2011 5:14:32 PM

Totally agree with Dietz. Vincent please also note that VSL is recorded dry, to give you total creative freedom. The major difference between an orchestra sounding like "mozart" and an orchestra sounding like "Hans Zimmer", is in the mix. The instruments are all the same. In my humble opinion I think that the VSL collections include all the possible playing techniques, capturing every single nuance, and are the finest. The engine's programming abilties are very flexible and simply uninque, especially with Vienna Instruments PRO. MIR is what gives breath and life to the samples, among placing and further mixing control just like a scoring stage with a control room. In order to get a more "Hollywood" sound I like to use Vienna suite as well. With plugins like these you can isolate unwanted frequencies, bring out new harmonics, get more punch, make certain performances sound smoother, etc.. etc... I hope this helps a bit. :)

Also you can listen to some demos in link below. The orchestral sounds are all from VSL, inside MIR and with Vienna Suite plugins inserted.

18.VI Pro 2.0 (or 3.0) feature request. 7/11/2011 6:20:29 PM

I believe I suggested a morph feature toggle button for the velo X fade for VI Pro 1.0. Something similiar to Kontakt. I quite certain that something like that would improve drastically the blend between the layers.

Also I'm still hoping for a fix for some legato instruments. I mean, imho I feel that arranging for appasionata strings takes far less time to get the legatos sounding smooth than the orchestral strings, for instance. In fact I use them much more often. I don't know, perhaps these fixes have to be done to the libraries themselves rather than the player.

19.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 6/10/2011 6:46:21 PM

Above all, I just hope there will be detailed video tutorials like VI Pro & VE Pro:) That would be really helpful!

20.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/30/2011 2:16:26 PM

An upgrage path from the current version of MIR is quite certain, but from VEP is unlikely.

21.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/30/2011 12:53:24 PM

Thanks Dietz. That's great news! Can't wait:)

22.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/30/2011 11:40:57 AM

Dietz, can you perhaps shed some light on the new workflow for user who are already used to the current version of MIR? I know that certain "trade secrets" cannot be fully exposed yet. But it would be much appreciated if we can have an idea in order to get ready for any major changes, if required.

23.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/12/2011 6:05:49 PM

Thats good news! Can't wait:)

24.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/12/2011 12:47:41 PM

The only reason I mentioned it since Dietz said that MIR pro would be like MIR and VE pro in one application. So I thought...

25.MIR PRO: Around the corner? 5/12/2011 12:04:38 PM

Therefore I am assuming that there will be a reasonable upgrade path for users who own MIR, and perhaps for those who own both MIR and VE pro? Smile
