I want to update all my Libraries (about 15) but I do not know how to check which version of each Library I have already installed. I want to avoid downloading and reinstalling a Library that is already updated.

 

My question is: Where can I check which version number of each library I have installed?

Hi, I have read all this posts and I have not found the one that, in my opinion, is today the most advanced technique of placing the string quartet components on a stage. In Mezzo TV I saw yesterday the retransmission of the integral of the Beethoven String Quartets by The Belcea String Quartet at the Vienna Konzerthaus in 2012. The placement used was (from left to right, watching from the audience): V1 - V2 - Vc. - Va. This integral of the Beethoven Quartets is considered one of the best interpretations of the decade. I believe that this placement of instruments has to do with the extraordinary quality of such an interpretation.

Thanks  again to your help I've solved definetly my little problems, even those concerning the "con sordino", etc.

In fact, I'm using Orchestral Strings no Solo Strings, but the problem concerning pizz / con-senza sordino was has been fixed when I´ve changed from VE Strings (3/2/13) to VE Strings in the general configuration in Sibelius (see two photos in attachement).

Thanks Andi,

With your help, the fp and sfz problems are now resolved after then correct loading of the VSL house style in Sibelius.

But it is another problem remaining, not mentioned in my previous post.

When I'm in a "con sordino" passage, the pizz command doesn't work: the pizz sample selected is the "senza sordino" one, instead of "con sordino" pizz.

Have you some idea about that ?

My consultation is as follows:

I have Vienna Ensemble 6 with the preset Bassoon (W1-04 Bassoon L22) selected.

In the right of the "Instrument" window I see Keysw for the X-Axis.

When Sibelius 8 play fp (fortepiano) in Sibelius,  the Velocity X-fade moves in Vienna Ensemble

but that what I want is that Viernna Ensemble select the sample fpNv (26 BA_fp_noVib) .

Same thing with sfz.

Have you a solution for me in order to succeed in obaining that I want ?

My problem is that in the Reproduction window of Dorico, I see VE Pro in the list of VST instruments.

I select that and I click on play (green triangle) but nothing sound.

It seems like Dorico and VE Pro 6 are not connected.

So, this is not, in my case,  a problem of using  Expression Maps; is a problem of connecting both programs: Dorico and VE Pro 6.

This phrase of Dbudde (in this forum) : "In 5 minutes with Dorico, I was able to get VE Pro 6 working with VI Pro 2.  Seemed to be stable and intuitive", seems to indicate that Dorico can connect with VE Pro 6. But how ?
