I'm in the same situation: I have MIR SE and VE Pro 5 - where would I find the upgrade to MIR full "legacy", and how much would this cost?

Sabine, just in case that you're a VE Pro 5 user, too: The best idea might be to upgrade to Vienna MIR (the full "legacy" version), because then the full-blown version of MIR Pro would be free for you anyway. ;-)

Hello,

so far I'm happy with my PC slave. It's i7-930 based, overclocked to 3,5 GHz (with 24 GB RAM)

So now that the i7-970 has come down in price, I'm contemplating this one (most people seem to easily overclock it to 4 GHz).

Hence my questions:

would the 6 cores of the 970 get me, say 30-40% more speed for MIR SE, and probably help when MIR PRO comes?

(No, i will not go the Sandybridge route now, this PC is to freshly built ...)

Ok, solved, by another way:

the folder I downloaded the Roompack Mystic Spaces v.2 into didn't contain any package.info

- a text file named "MysticSpaces_WIN-2.0_files" (starting with "This is a list of files expected to be found in the installation folder by the library installer")

- 6 BIN-Files

- "ViennaMIR_RoomPack_3_MysticSpaces_WIN-2.0-r111.exe". I had to start this one to install ...

Maybe I just misunderstood something? Could it be the fact, that it's MIR SE and not the full MIR?

Thank you for your help so far, but this must be something very peculiar …

I reinstalled everything again (latest versions of course, and double checked),restarted etc.

But this just doesn't happen:

"Nach abgeschlossenem Download-Vorgang, klicken Sie auf Install im Vienna Download Manager. Dadurch wird der Vienna Instruments Library Installer gestartet. Beachten Sie, dass Ihr ViennaKey mit entsprechender permanenter Lizenz zur Installation angesteckt sein muss."

no "Vienna Instruments Library Installer" is starting ... Sad

No, sorry ... it's in the main window of the Download Manager: I see my two downloads (each finished, 100%) and under the Status heading the "Install" buttons - and clicking on them doesn't do anything, no new page or window ...

Maybe I'm dense, but after downloading MIR-SE Roompacks (Default, and Mystic Spaces 2.0), which went well, clicking on the Install button does nothing. Any idea?

(I reinstalled Downloadmanager, elicenser is connected)

that's really (too) high, I would say ...

Sometimes people apply too little or too much thermal grease. I would recommend reseating the cooler.

If using MIR is a consideration: right now you can't distribute a MIR-Room on several machines, but this might change in MIR Pro, I understood ...

I learned all the necessary stuff from the net and tried different things for 2-3 days: it wasn't that difficult, the i7 are eminently overclockable. Of course one has to be organized and has to adhere to a few basic rules (careful with voltages, always monitor temperatures while testing etc)

Aha, ok ...

It's just the website: when I try to order, the "BUY" button remains grey (and: "This product requires the Vienna MIR", although it says otherwise in "system requirements")

Some time ago Florian answered my first question about this:

"For Mir SE, the additional roompacks have to be adopted (it's the same content, just file handling issues)"

Maybe it's just a website issue...

Not wanting to be "lästig", but is there a chance of getting a Se version of the MIR RoomPacks?

I know, everyone must be quite busy with all that VIPro stuff going on (which is amazing - thanx again for this one!) ...

25.VE PRO with multiple ethernet connections on my MAC 9/6/2010 3:26:22 PM

My Mac has two Ethernet ports:

the first I use for normal network (Internet, printing, Euphonix MCMix ...), with DHCP

the second is connected to my PC-slave only, with fixed IP (VEPro or MIR Se)

works like a charm :-)
