I thought I registered my Opus 1 in the past,long ago. When trying to register now ,which is necessary for seeing the downloadable performance tool, i get a message saying the registration number is alreay taken ,or somthing like that........so I can't get to the performance tool.

So my simple question to the VSL-staff is : Is the performance tool fully operational in the newst update of Logic 8?

And in the score in Sibelius(by using the dictionary) you can give the (hidden) midi- messages(f.e. ~C09,0) the name of the articulation you're using in Logic.(like Vi sus ,or Vi pizz , etc.)
So you keep a clean score with one staff for each instrument and hidden midi-messages you can remember.Excellent!
And the velocity-layers in EXS can be triggered by the' live velocity' option in Window-Properties(Edit Passage)-Playback in Sibelius and the volume by adding f.e.: f,ff or fff.Perfect!

Well,I couldn't get that to work.
So I did something else (for the moment).
I used a IAC bus for each instrument(staff) in Sibelius,each with his own Channel Splitter.
After output 1 of the Channel Splitter I created a Cable Switcher (found at:New-Fader-Specials in the Environment )To see the menu of the Cable Switcher just double-click a little to the right of its icon.In the menu I set the input of this Cable Switcher to 'Control' and below that the -1- to 9. (meaning Control 9,which is free)
And I connected the output-triangles of this Cable Switcher to different audio-instrument-tracks with different articulation of a violin.Like this you can connect(in theory) up to 128(!)articulations or audio-instruments-tracks in Logic to one staff in Sibelius,because Control 9 has a range from 0-127.
To divide the notes in Sibelius in articulations, you can in staff 1 double-click a note where you want to start an articulation .You put in a midi message as text that will route to the track in Logic with that articulation.F.e. ~C9,0 which make a switch to the '0' output of the Cable-Switcher which in my case is connected to audio-instrument 1.
So for Instrument/staff 2 in Sibelius you use IAC bus 2 with a Channel Splitter and a Cable Switcher(with its own free Control number as input)and again you have (in theory)up to 128 articulations for that instrument.For Instrument 3 use IAC bus 3 etc..(You can put the transformers to filter out the volume and pan e.d.if you want.)You have to select the right info in the mixer in Sibelius.
Have to test this still, but I'm beginning to see the limitless of Logic. Quiet impressive! This is fun!

I'll have to study that first,but then you can use a IAC bus for each staff(instrument)in Sib. ,connected to 16 articulations (16 audio-instruments in Logic).If your Mac can handle it,but you don't have to download all the articulations. That would be a nice set-up!(or am I wrong here...?)

i found the different IAC busses in the Sibelius mixer.
I even managed to get the pan- and volume-transformers working.
The unison one I'm working on.
And I 'll have a look at the 'hidden text in score' feature.
Do you mean you can with hidden midi-messages on a single staff in Sibelius trigger different articulations of f.e. a violin in esx (logic) ?

I couldn't get it working with two transformers though.(Probably i did something wrong.)
Instead I just used only one transformer with "filter matching Events" and Status: = "Control".(So all crontrols are filtered)

B.t.w.Are you using more IAC busses? How do you activate them in Sibelius.
Seems to me that you can only activate one IAC bus at a time.

I tried the IAC bus with a phisical input and one channelsplitter.
Sending output 1 of the channelsplitter to audio-instrument 1 etc.
But when I playback the score of Sibelius audio-instr 1 (in Logic) gets a pan of 47 to the left ,2 gets 47 to the right ,3 to the left ,etc.
What am I doing wrong? Must be some extra midi-info Sibelius is sending.
How can I change that?

I only get all the instruments in Logic playing all the staffs in Sibelius.....
