Also ich hab mir die Sache mit den Expressionmaps und SP mal genauer angeschaut.


 
Mein grosser Wunsch wäre ohne grösseren Aufwand "in der Expressionmap aufzunehmen", um dann genau so einfach noch Feinheiten im Editor nachträglich einzeichnen zu können, falls nötig.

 

Es geht mir hier um die Möglichkeit, die Expressionmaps auch im Live-Spiel zu nutzen und ohne weiteren Aufwand diese Aufnahme im Midi-Editor in Cubase via Expressionmap zu bearbeiten. Falls mir da jemand von vorn herein schon eine Lösung bereit hat, wäre das sehr gut.

 Ich möchte gerne wie gewohnt die wichtigsten Basic-Artikulationen mit Füssen (Expr.Pedal) und der linken Hand (ModWheel und KS) in Echtzeit auswählen und steuern, diese Performance einfangen und diese dann ohne weiteres zutun im Midi-Editor als Expressionmap-Daten bearbeiten.


Das Problem stellt sich da bei mir, dass der im "Expressionmap-Einstellungen" Dialog eingestellte Wert "Grundton" ab dem eingestellten Wert z.Bsp. "C0" die Tastenbefehle "abfängt" bzw umwandelt. Ich kann zwar "direkte Zuweisungen" zu Artikulationen/Variationen eingeben, doch diese sind dann exklusiv und würden in der Anzahl eine Unmenge an KS benötigen um nur schon die wichtigsten Basic-Artikulationen mit ihren Variationen zu bedienen. In SP verbleibt leider der Tree jeweils in dem zuletzt gewählten Ast/Zeile.
 
Eine Lösung wäre, dass ich entweder eine Spur ohne Expressionmap fürs Live-Spiel, und eine mit Expressionmap fürs "Playback nutze. Oder die Expressionmap Ein- und Ausschalten (bzw laden). Doch dann habe ich nur Noten und keine Artikulationen von der Expressionmap im Midi-Editor, weil es eben nur Noten sind die aufgenommen werden. Die andere Möglichkeit wäre, wie ich es gemacht hatte mit der Matrix (VI-Pro2). siehe unten

 

Meine Lösung war bei VI_Pro2 die "Diagonal-Ebenen Matrix". siehe SS, und siehe Threat  " Synchron Strings Expressionmaps in Cubase"

 Ich hatte mir damals in Cubase mit VI-Pro2 die Matrix so angeordnet, dass ich jeweils von einer der "Hauptkategorien" wie "kurze Noten", "Lange-Noten", "Dynamics" usw. mit nur einem KS hin und her wechseln konnte und dies ohne dann in der Achse zu verbleiben in der ich gerade war. (Ich hatte Dir mal nen SS geschickt.) Denn mit Eurer, auch guten, zur Verfügung gestellten Matrix (danke dafür:)), musste man aber immer darauf achten in welcher Zeile man gerade ist/war. Und musste so meisten entweder Controller Daten oder aber einen 2. KS benutzen um auch wirklich in einer "Hauptkategorie" zu landen und dann weitere Feinheiten (Variations) auswählen zu können. Das funktionierte wunderbar.

 


So kann man sich entscheiden, wie tief man in die "Feinheiten" beim Live-Spel gehen will. Man kann sich auf die "Hauptkategorien" beschränken, oder aber wenn man Zeit und Finger hat noch mehr differenzieren. Und man kommt immer mit Einem ! KS zur "Basic-Artikulation" und der korrekten/erwünschten Variation zurück.

 


In SP habe ich leider noch nicht herausgefunden, wie ich dies machen kann. Dort muss man ja die "2.Ebene" fest einer Artikulation zuweisen, und man kann sich nicht wie in der Matrix in den Ebenen bewegen. So hätte man ja schnell zu viele KS. Auch mit Prg.Changes ist dies nicht zufriedenstellend zu verwirklichen. Zumindest nur so indem ich zwischen Tasten und Schaltern/Controller wechseln muss und diese meistens weiter als eine Spreizfinger grosse Entfernung beim Gerät haben. Meines Erfahrung nach konnte man das lediglich mit der Pro88 von M-Audio. Die hatte 4 frei programmierbare Taster direkt bei dem Controller-und Pitch-Rad. Die haben aber Tastaturen die sich nach einiger Zeit sozusagen auflösen. Ich hab mir aber die Controller-Einheit ausgebaut und nutze die weiter als programmierbarer Midi-Controller.

 


Extra ein I-Pad zu kaufen ist es auch nicht wirklich.

Hi all,
finaly i have realised that the Sychron Expressionmaps has slightly a different arrangement in the Way how they are grouped. It seems that the Basic-Artikulations are now in the Group 2! not anymore in Group 1.
The Fact that for "Dynamics" (Tree Name) in the Expressionmap is written as "SoftSwell" leads me more in confusing.
For me it was logical to have the "Articulation"-Tree in Group 1, cause Group 1 has Priority.
I will find out how this works better for me too. Otherwise VSL didnt would do this.;)
So nice to have still all this Options in SP too. (Only the "Volume-Fades" (For Tuttis) i miss..)
But on this Point i have to say it one more Time:
THE SOUND.... IS AMAZING!!! Realy:))

Dont know if you saw the SS from me, its not only a 2 Artikulation Matrix..;) (SS VI-Pro Setup Expressionmap)

But anyway.

Waht i asking me self realy (i talk now from SYnchron Expressionmaps)

When "Tremelo" is not in Group 1, how i should ever reach my Tremelo when Stac is choosed in Group 1 and has Priority?

That dosnt Works for me. (ScreenShot "Stac Trem")

Hello Andi, Hello Users

On the SS you see how i setted up my VI-PRO2 Expressionmaps for Live and! Playback.There are two Matrizes. The only Differnce is, that i use CC-Controls for the Y-Axis. All others are the same, so you have only to Copy.

I will do the same with SP and his Expressionmaps. The Cool thing on one Hand is, that with combine the KS and CC`s you dont loose your Playrange so mutch. For Live you have the only KS Matrizes.

The Idee for the diagonal arrangement was the Lucky thing i think. So you need only one KS for the "Articulation" but to have the Possibility to easy move e.g from "Stac" to "Stac Rep" with only one more KS and you get back with one KS too.

Dont know if that any Body helps..

But Andi, is there no more Possibilitys to make Volum-Fades in the Key-Range?

I use Cubase 10 with VEPro6 with MIR 24.

After spending Hours to compare the Live-Performance of "Synchron Player Vs. Vienna Instruments", i am saidly surprised that VI wons. For me.

My Playing-Feel is more comfotably on VI then in SP.

What`s your Experiences?

I like the User-Interface from VI`s more, cause there are a few more Options to Customize your Mockup`s.

VI do the Job perfect.

My Reasen for buying Synchron Player was the abelity to use (finally) AFTERTOUCH.

And its new possibilitys in the DIM/Ctr.. Now you can manage more then 2 (VI Pro) Matrices with the "SlotX/Fade".

The Handling of the "Matrix" (VI Pro) in SP is in my Opinion better.

But the Upgrade Price for the Libs should be more fair.

MIR is Great, espacialy in conjunction with VEP6. I use it also as Digital FX-Rack (as "Send-effect") in live Situations.

Question 1:

I ask, cause when i loud Vst-Plugins in VEP6, on some of the Plugins are still written "0 Samples" in the "Plugin-Latency"-Display.

Question 2:

Whats the Latency of VEP6 for Audio-Processing when nothing is loadet? How i can imagine that handling of Latency?

I ask because i (would like to) use VEP6 as a Live Digital-FX Modul for my Monitoring for my Analog-Mixer. Actualy i do it for Send-Signals like Reverbs.

Ok. So you need VEP for Standalone Applications.

But my Problem with VEP6 and SynchronPlayer is mainly, that SynchronPlayer adds 512 Samples when i load it in VEP6!!

It adds 512 Samples to any "Plugin-Latency" settings i choose. So. on 0 Samples i get 512 Samples in the right Corner Setting-Display. I can not go anymore deeper then 512 Samples with SyncPlayer in VEP6!

Maybe i stuck on Vienna Instruments Pro for ever..ioi

Without to make some conclusions, i wrote a Threat about some Issues with VEP6 and "Plugin-Latency" Settings.

Maybe you take a look there too, if you like:)

No, that happens also without any MIR.

And its shown on the right Corner. I know about that settings.:)

(In my Case?) When i change the settings "Plugin-Latency" in VEP6 it adds always 512 Samples to the setting. The minimum is 512 Samples at 0 Samples on "Plugin-Latency"-Setting.

The Interface RME UFx have 96 Samples, because MIR won`t work on 64 Samples somehow. On 32 and 128 Samples with the Multiface (PCI-Card) it works fine.

25.Different Instruments Loading Time 2/26/2017 3:33:57 AM

I use SSDs, one for C: and one for VSL-Library.

When i load my Project which uses VEP`s as VST`s for VI`s (Dimension`s), the loading time of the VI`s are different sometimes. One time its loading-Time is about 90sec.. The next Time its about 3 or 4 Minutes.

The Preferences are discribed in the earlyer Threads.
