Philip Johnston is one of music education's best-selling authors, known for presenting complex ideas in simple, engaging formats. Classically trained, he holds a Master's Degree in Music from Indiana University and has recorded for Warner Music as a pianist and composer. Philip has been working with orchestral sample libraries since the Gigastudio days, and composed demo tracks for one of VSL's very first sample libraries back in 2003, using a computer with worse specs than some modern toasters. It's about the recipes, not the gear.
