Muting the violin does more than tame its brilliance – it invites a different approach, drawing out a warmer, silkier tone. As the second voice of the muted string quartet, Synchron Solo Violin 2 (sordino) brings its own color and character to the ensemble. The instrument was performed by Damir Oraščanin, concertmaster of the Vienna Synchron Orchestra, in the large Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage.
