  • Frenzy is from confusion

This is my last post until all of this is situated.

The reason there is a frenzy is because EVERYTHING IS UNCLEAR!!

Don't make an announcement unless you have all of the facts together regarding content and exact upgrading prices.

You read one post for Herb and it says one thinng. You read one post from Anna(?) and it says another.

The majority here probably wouldn't be up in arms if there was some clarity!

I know that you guys have nailed it as far as making VSI a native plug-in. Great move! You're probably excitited and want to flash some muscle and show your customers why you're the best. But just wait until everything is uniformed and opinions from the VSL staff are the same.

I'm shutting up and sitting in a corner now....

Do you mind if I just ask you something?

  • Exactly, Beaswax. I would also add that, the feeling of having been douped is an embarrassing feeling, compounded by a big money play for your wallet; and many feel like that is where this scenario is headed,...

I guess I'll check back with this site in a couple of days, 'cause it's been over 24 hours since the countdown ended, and still no clarity.

Peace to all, and good luck.

  • I agree. Until yesterday the site still said Orchestral Stings. [8-)] There aren't any info about most of the content in the different volumes, the pricing issue is impossible to comprehend without the discount calculator (unless you are a lucky new-to-VSL person) and as usual the already available information isn't clearly written. The countdown was a great idea but it backfired instantly when the info wasn't complete.

  • Sorry to say but you guys are just a bunch of whinners!

It's not available until Jan 2006 and they will release the library over several months until April so even if you'd known the price a few days ago what bloody difference is that making?

So yeah please shut up. I'm sure most of us here will be much happier.

  • Dear forum members,

we all know that we have some exciting days right now, but there's really no need to get angry. I'm sure that most people will be pleased, once the dust has settled.

    Thanks & all the best,

What do you think the purpose of a forum is? If someone is displeased or has questions about something, then this is the place to do it. If you want harmonious niceties that always agree with your opinion on a singular minded, utopic forum, then why don't you attempt creating your own. Perhaps then and only then, could you find the peace you miss so much, and apparently long for.

I, like many others I'm sure, recently registered for the forum for information and concern about our investment. Nowhere in registering for this forum did I see a prerequisite to keep old forum heads happy with our posts. And if you didn't know, some people only join forums like this one to find solutions to problems encountered and make comments.

So why don't you do yourself a favor and ignore or don't respond to posts that do not concern you, or are not to your liking. [[;)]]

    Welcome and hello everybody,

BTW - gossip and off-topic threads will be tolerated to a certain amount in this forum, as long as I don't get the feeling that things are getting out of hand. Don't tell me about "freedom of speech" then, because I represent absolute power here [;)] ... after all, this is a private forum. Let's make it a friendly web-hangout for brothers & sisters in mind.

So let the party begin! All the best,

The keyword is "friendly" - valid for all our fora (forums?), not just "my" little playground for mixing and post-pro. :-]

  • Hey, I've been keeping it civil.

If people can't express dismayabout being price gauged then what's the point? People would still have to purchase the product to make it successful, no matter how great the product is.

Marc, if you have any issues, send me an e-mail and we can discuss it there or in person.

  • Dietz,

You should then just disband this forum if you only want to hear what you want to near.

I am responding to a post. That post was negative. I responded, I am done with it, so lets just move on.

It is not my intention to constantly muck up the water, so to speak. I will only post when necessary, and I will be kind. Sorry.

Didn't think you'd last long sitting all alone in that corner. Out of interest - what VSL libraries do you own? And I have just read all 17 or so of your posts - the word 'sucks' appears - well, just about from paragraph one actually.

    Any comments?

Warning: You are beginning to get on my nerves.

  • Thank you Paul. That's exactly what I was going to say to you Beaswax.
You joined a couple months ago and you've been complaining in pretty much all your 16 posts, not to mention you had pretty insulting comments in several of them. So that's my issue.

Man, that's so out of line. It's a FORUM, it's not Marc B's personal space. If you don't like what you read, don't read it.
    Jeeez, some people.

Yeah - its' a Forum - quite right Mr Tripit. You are definitely correct in your assumption that this is indeed a forum.

Therefore - Marc B has exercised his right of expression on this....Forum.

Also Mr Tripit - have you ever heard the expression - hidden agenda? [:)]

  • Paul relax. It's a forum. You do reserve the right to simply disagree, as my friend Tripit. I'm simply complaining about the VIP price. You act as if you're getting a cut from the price hike...

    FYI

I'm a Pro Edition/Performance Set owner. I'll mail you my bill.

I'm always relaxed. It's you that seems to be having a problem with all this. I understand about the price though. There was two and a half days of this on these forums - complaining about the prices that is. That is understood by everyone, myself included naturally.

Take into account several financial pointers from any software comany - like time, space, staff etc - add that onto the fact that this is not really an upgrade = that's the price. Not pretty, but let's start to grow up now.

  • Word. (I had to get the last word in)

  • OK Paul. You win. Congrats.

No - I don't win anything. If it's any interest to you whatsoever, I personally will buy this in small chunks based on need rather than gear lust.

Tripit & Beaswax - it's beginning to sound like I'm talking to a firm of French polishers.

Now that's a euphemism, if ever I heard one [:D]
