.. and what a lovely headline this is ;) problem is as folows: i have a lot of custom vi instances embedded in ve pro in a lot of projects. now i want to use these custom matrices and settings but add features from vi pro. sadly i don't see a way to quickly convert my vi to vi pro instances within ve pro.. i would have to completly recreate the the whole thing.. which - as most of you surly (and painfully) know - is a lot of work.. saving and reloading channel presets to a vi pro instance will revert it back to an old vi instance.. am i overseeing something or is there simply no quick way of doing this? how can i save a single vi instance within ve pro, then create a new vi pro instance and load that saved vi into it? there surly is a way - right? right??! thanks gernot

Indeed. The "Convert Project to Vienna Instruments Pro..." menu item in the File menu has exactly this purpose. The function loads an existing viframe and converts all VI's to VI Pro's during the loading process. You can then save the resulting project to the same file or a different file.
