Hello, All sections (but the basses) get a general -15dB cut if "natural volume" is toggled in MIR, across all divisions (solos, desks, groups, all). The basses don't work that way: solos are -22dB while desks and all are -13.5dB.
Is this intended? If so why such a huge difference in volume?
Thanks!

Variations in loudness. There is a definite difference in volume between a tuba versus a trombone or even a trumpet. I believe the MirX manual has a chart that shows the natural volume differences, but I dont seem to have the manual that shows this chart. But the 6:55 minute mark in the MirX video shows what the chart looks like (5:54 is where natural volume is explained).

Hm, please read my post again.
The only question I'm asking is why are the basses the only section where the "natural volume" settings aren't consistent across all divisions (solos, desks, all), as it is for violins, violas and cellos.
Thanks ;)

Hello,
that's not intended, -15 dB is also the correct volume for the Dimension Basses.
This is a bug and is already fixed, a new installer for Vienna MIR Pro will be available by tomorrow.
Thanks a lot for reporting this and please excuse the troubles.
Best regards, Florian
