Hello, I'm totally new to Vienna instruments and just bought the two Harp versions of Vienna ensemble.

I got a few Midi-Files in my computer-archive, and all I wanna do is to make VI play them with its amazing harp-sound. How can I import these Midi-Files (or let VI play them otherwhise)? I could only find options like "Open Project" which only leads to VI-Projects, not to Midi.

Welcome sospiro,

Vienna Ensemble is "only" a host for Vienna Instruments, and Vienna Instruments is "only" a sample player.

You will need a sequencer to play back your MIDI files, and assign Vienna Ensemble/ Vienna Instruments to the respective MIDI tracks.

Best,
Paul
