Hey folks, I've been running into an issue with VE over the last few months where when I launch it, it'll frequently do a full rescan of all my plugins, which usually takes several minutes.  Plugins that were working fine the previous day will fail validation, ones that failed previously work without issue, and there doesn't seem to be any obvious reason why.  If I quit VE and reload it, the plugins will usually pass, but there may be different ones that don't work.  I'll get a message saying "pluginscan quit unexpectedly", but then it continues to scan.  I've been able to get the plugs I need to work, but it's a little confusing, not sure what the solution is.

I'm on a MacPro running Catalina, latest VE Pro.

How old is your Vienna key?

I hadn't thought of that.  Pretty old at this point, I'd guess maybe 7 years.

Don't walk, run to the nearest computer or phone and immediately order a new Vienna key. The warranty on your key expired 5 years ago which leaves your VSL investment in peril.

Of course you could purchase the Vienna Protection Plan but either way you'll need to get another Vienna key to transfer the licenses.

To be clear, I don't know if getting a new key will fix your problems but you really should consider buying another key and transferring the licenses

Well that's an easy enough fix, or at least it's worth a shot.  New key ordered!

Thanks.
