Hi

I was glad when I found out that you have made expression maps for my new library: The Elite Strings.

But they don't work, because you can't have a key switch in the play range, and that is the case in the violin/viola map, where you have used F4, G4, A4, A#4, B4 and C5 as triggers. Transposing them 2 octaves up, will work.

Thought you might wanted to know.

Hello Stig!

Take care that the root note in the Expression Maps Setup windows is set to C0. Otherwise the remote keys will be shifted.

The mistake is note in the expression map. Your problem comes from your root note setting.

Best regards,
Andi

Hi Andi

When I change the root note in the little box (please see picture), ALL my maps - around 220 - are changed so the lowest note is set to C0.
I havn't seen any other maps using C0 as the lowest key, they all use C-2. I think all maps from Art Conductor starts out on C-2. I also think all Spitfire Maps will take use of the lowest keys.
What are the reason for your choice of C0 as the lowest key?

Hello Stig!

All our maps have been made with C0 as root note. That's the default Cubase setting. I'm sure that if we would use C-2 as root note, we would get far more messages from users who think that something is wrong with our maps. Unfortunately this setting is a general setting and cannot be saved with the expression maps.

Best regards,
Andi

Hi

This just plays really bad together with the maps from Babylonwaves, which all starts on C-2, using the full range of the midi system.

So it forces me to edit all of your maps or the 450 maps that I already have loaded from Babylonwaves.
And it's impossible - at least to me - to find a way to do these edits with the help of an app. it's really annoying to experience the little interest developpers in general - and you are one of the good guys, I know - shows in trying to make their product play nice together with all the rest.
I am not the only one using far to much time on setting things in system, time that goes from my projects.
Sorry for letting of the steam!
