Dorico makes use of VST3 Note Expression messages, that VST doesn't support. Now that MIDI 2.0 is including these features, I would expect that it would be easier to make VSL software compatible with these requirements.

The lack of microtones forces to fatiguing workarounds, and I'm sadly thinking to switch to another library for that type of works (that is a good part of what I'm composing these days). Nothing like the big VSL ones, but something like Prime. Average sounds, but a lot less sweat.
