I have a pretty high spec Mac Pro tower, but it still struggles to cope with larger projects running in Logic (multiple instances of software instruments / plug ins). I'm a composer, and I often have projects with four or five, sixteen channel multis open.
I've seen composers running a main machine supported by slave machines before (mostly in videos), but I've no idea how it works. I've had Google too, without much luck.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone runs such a set up? How do you find it? How does it work?
