    I was told to buy Opus Bundle as a good entry point to VSL instruments. Since it has been discontinued, is there something being offered that is comparable to it in that same price range?

    Vienna Special Edition (sometimes abbreviated SE or VSE) is what you need to look for. It offers more instruments than Opus and 24-bit instead of 16-bit samples, but it also lacks some Opus articulations and some instruments have slightly fewer velocity layers.
