  • Strings Looped in Opus 1?

I heard from a friend that the strings in the First Edition were not looped, which is somewhat inconcievable to me ( but that's another topic). I was wondering if the looped versions from the Pro Edition were included in Opus.

    Thanks

    Steve

  • Not only that, but even in the PRO EDITION which has looped versions, NONE of the performance legato instruments are looped. So you have this beautiful movement but the destination note only lasts like 3 secs.

Somehow I expected all these things to be taken care of but unfortunately they aren't So this leaves much to be desired for users looking for the ULTIMATE useablility ina library.

I'm intending to buy OPUS-1 after realizing that Pro-Edition is above my current budget, though, as I tested 1st Edition a few months ago (in a music store) I do remember being annoyed by the fact that all the legato performances weren't looped (too late to sample longer notes... [:(]

Is there a plan to loop the destination samples of the legato programs?
If there is, when is the approximate date for the release, and which versions will include the looped version?

I personaly feel it is a VERY important issue.

  • I feel it is a VERY improtant issue as well. Looped destination sampels in the legato instruments is what will give composers full control over their music again. We are at the mercy of only what durations can be played in the legato. That's not useful, that's pain.

At least it would be great to be able to have a destination note mute switch so that we can re-substitute long looped samples for teh short unlooped ones.
