  • New download instruments problem on Mac

Purchased the new upright bass library, activated the key OK and then went to download the files. Problem. The intial .zip file that is supposed to create a new folder in some location on my Mac didnt happen. Therefore I don't know where to place all the data files called .cabs! The "package.info" file is a UNIX file and is not recognised by my operating system. Any help out there??

  • usually zip-files should be opened by the BOM-Archive-Helper application and create a folder which is named like the zip-file during unpacking.

if it does not behave so please create a folder (eg. A52 or Uright Bass) and place all files into this folder

  • Same problem here. What on earth is BOM-Archive-Helper? That is not on option on this Mac ( Intel Mac Pro 8-core 10.4.11) Patrick

  • the BOM-Archive-helper is the built-in OS X zip and unzip utility ...

    two options for the moment:

    - you create a download folder and place the package.info as well as the .cab files into it

    - we add an additional folder into the .zip file to create it on OS X

(windows users will see the folder hierarchy doubled´appearing as eg. \V52\V52)

note: if safari is set to do so in your preferences, the zip-file unpacks without asking

The only such preference I can find in Safari 3.0.4 is: Open "safe" files after downloading ...and that has always been ticked. Is this what you mean because it doesn't seem to work here?

  • I have run the Synchrosoft License Control successfully and downloaded everything, and done as you suggested ( ie. put the package.info in the download folder) and then I've tried running the Library Installer which says the following when I navigate to package.info as instructed... The following licenses are needed to install this package: VI Online_09 So now what can I do?

  • Maybe you also have to update your Vienna Instrument?

Do you see license "VI Online_09" listed in the Vienna Instrument player (on the Preset Select page in the browse on the left side).

This license has to be listed there and of course also in your Synchrosoft License Control.

And maybe only a reboot is necessary.

  • same problem here... where can I download VI Online_09, what file is it?

if you see *online 09* in your license list you probably have a very outdated LCC - please update to the latest version http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html to see the license labeled *soprano choir*

the files for the soprano choir can be downloaded in USER AREA - DOWNLOAD INSTRUMENTS - VOICES

the license as such has been successfully downloaded to your key

  • It's always a good idea to check the date of any posting.

My posting was written in Dezember 2007, almost 2 years ago, when the soprano choir was just released, and the update of the LCC with correct license name was not released at that time.
