  • What happens if dongle is lost?

    Hello!

Just the other day I glanced at the VI dongle and realised there's thousands of euros packed in there. It occurred me that I don't know what really happens if I lose or break it. VSL has all my registered information, knows what libraries I have and so on. But what will happen if shiz hits the fan?

Any light on this might help me sleep easier,

  • if your ViennaKey stops working within the warranty period your licenses will be replaced for free,

if it happens you damage the key or the warranty has expired some handling fee will apply,

if it happens you loose it you'd need to contact your insurance company.

    Hi Christian,

I'd like to know, what is the handling fee for a damaged ViennaKey not under warranty?

    Thanks, Brian

  • depends on number and value of licenses - i suppose to remember something about 20 EUR per license ... don't cite me on that ...

  • Hi Christian,

Thanks for answering my question so quickly! [:)] Is there a place on the website that this policy and pricing regarding the ViennaKey is publicly posted?  I tried to find the FAQs sections of the website to look up this particular issue, but was unable to find it.

    Thanks, Brian

  • AFAIK there is something in preperation, but the term *warranty* is a subtlety for some countries.
