unfortunately this is not only a financial opportunity, but also a technical one (i.e. to screw things up ...) and has to be supported accordingly.
Vienna Ensemble 2 and 3 are acting as guest for the sequencer (or notation program) - and simultaneously as host for VI instances.
it is 32bit as well as 64bit and the system of *bit-bridges* is different as well as VST versions and implementations.
doing everything within the domain of VE/VI everything is under control, hosting third party plugins opens a wide range of combinations and possible communication problems ... this has to be carefully considered and tested.
finally a channel in VE had to open an *empty instance* and the GUI of the plugin has to be loaded into it, allowing bi-directional communication (VE - plugin / plugin - VE) as well as saving and loading complete VE sets containing third-party settings ....
stay tuned what we will see in a next step ... christian
