Splitting chamber strings on 2 seperate dongles.......

Hi Vienna......Is there any way that this can be done?  It is a very real requirement for me.  I need to be able to split celli basses on one key and violas and violins on another...........

It would take too long to explain why...but I need to be able to do it....Is there any way?

    thanx,

    SvK

In all seriousness I used to agree with wanting all the string libraries split up the same way, and it does make sense, if you want to keep Violins and Violas on a different PC than Cellos and Basses. However, asking VSL to change the whole licensing system for my convenience is a bit much, for such a cheap product. Next you'll have people wanting a different licence per articulation. Wait a minute, isn't that what the download products are all about? Now if Orchestral Strings came with only one licence for the whole caboodle, then there would be a point here, but for Chamber Strings or Solo Strings I think that the best thing to do is bite the bullet, or at least discuss it with VSL in private. In public they are bound to say no.

  • DG.......You are not helping it is NOT a bit much to split up violins/violas and basses/calli......it was VIENNA that decided to release Orchestral1 / 2 strings that way, and then NOT being consistent with the chambers is sloppy. SvK

Well talk to them in private then. When you post on a public forum you are inviting users to disagree with you as well as agree.
