    Hi

    I am almost finished building a PC machine just for vienna and in particular VE3. I need to order my OS now, should I order XP64 or Vista 64? 

    What would vienna recommend, I am not using this machine for anything other than VE3. Which one gives better performance with vienna?

    Hello,

    From what I read, Vista64 requires more resources to run than XP64, and doesn't bring any benefits... Personally, I got XP Pro 32Bit for my main DAW, and a XP 64Bit for the slave (VSL only, VE3 and remote desktop).

     Thanks, I had heard that also. But I was wondering now that vista had been out a while had it maybe improved?

    If any of the tech guys at vienna would like to comment it would be gratefully received.

    I was wondering if anybody else has an opinion on this before I splash the cash. I would especially appreciate a view from vienna.

     Hi Simsy, 

    it´s basically a matter of taste. Both Windows versions perform great, I personally find XP64 more attractive because of it´s "slimness".
