  • New Amazing Impulse Response Lib. EMT 245

Hi There, this is my first post on this great forum. I have been reading it for long time now. I have just bought a new IR library that I really have fallen in love with. It is a EMT 245 library. I have myself in time gathered too EMT 245 hardware machines and i really really love them. This library is making sure that I dont have to record my reverb all the time to use them on many tracks and sounds. It cover all the settings on the emt and is sounding just like the emt. I have been for a long time looging for sounds for my impulse reverb who can really sound good. and those are amazing. You can here demonstration here at their website http://www.acousticas.net

  • I have also achieved excellent results with the EMT.   Look like this co. just released the Lexicon 300 - anyone tried this with VSL?   Particularily interested in those throwing this IR on the 'master' bus whilst using Altiverb to establish depth (fox or Todd AO rooms).   Not really sure what advantages the 300 would have over the EMT released a few months back - for Orchestral mock ups.  Looking forward to any replies.

(just listened to the demos and I must say the 'warmth' added to the original signal seems apparent.  At the price, it may be a 'no-brainer' for orchestral mock-ups.)

  • Hi Rob,

I too have noticed the Lexicon 300 copy from Acousticas, and have been waiting for it to be released for just the purpose you describe (as you know from my other thread).  I eventually abandoned the Altiverb L480 on my Todd AO template, but I'm curious to try out these IRs.  I do notice the added warmth on the Lexicon RT 60 level demos which frankly I don't care for, but the Acousticas RT 60 level demo has some potential.

    Good stuff....

  •  Thanks a ton for the link! Just got them today, and the Lexicon IR's sound very sweet & smooth. Even simply running a verb at a low level on an entire mix added a wonderful hint of clarity and wideness to the music. Excellent stuff, right outta the box! Cant wait to dig in deeper

  •  Hi all,

it would be interesting to listen to strings ensemble  and solo woodwinds

mixed withe this new ir library.

if any of you could share some audio files

    it would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Totally agree.. I have just downloaded the impulses. They do have a nice warmth to them. For the price, not bad. Best, Joseph

  • VSL + Acousticas EMT 245 IRs = sonic bliss.

I bought the set a few years ago. It's my favorite reverb.

I wish the EMT252 set was stil around. I think (not sure about this) EastWest acquired Acousticas and now use their IRs in their own convolution app.

I really really really really REALLY wish I could still buy the EMT252 IR set!! Did I make that clear enough for everyone? haha
