     I downloaded the VE Pro demo thinking that it would run like VE does. Meaning that I want to use it only on my main computer like I run VE,but for some reason I cannot connect to the server. Unfortunately the manual is not really clear on this,so I am wondering,can VE Pro run on one computer the same way VE does?

    In short, yes.

    However, you need to open "Vienna Ensemble Pro Server" application first, then you will see the "localhost" available to connect to when you press "Connect" in the plugin.

    Martin, will there be a way to auto-connect to the server from the application?  It will be quite cumbersome to have to go in and manually connect to the server every time I want to open a project.  I was having trouble yesterday running VE Pro in Sibelius where the VE Pro would not auto-connect to the server like VE does.

    If you open the server application before opening your Sibelius project, it will auto-connect to the server.

    This is not my experience.  I am having to manually open the plugin once Sibelius is launched and connect each instance of VE Pro manually.  It seems to stay connected if I don't quit Sibelius between closing and reopening reopening the same project.

    Martin,

    I just wanted to add that I also do have this issue.  I don't find it life altering or to much of a hassle but, it would be nice if it did actually auto connect each time.  I can't seem to find any consistency as sometimes it will work while most of the times it does not.  I have been using VE3 since the first day of release so starting the service first is something I do the second I login to my machine every day.  But my Logic projects only maybe 1 out of 10 will "auto connect".

    Where I find it most inconvenient is when I have a few multi-timbral, mixe with a few "stereo" versions.  Maybe we can pinpoint this reason and fix this little issue.
