    Word of warning, VSL  is playing up tons after the 10.6.2 system update, it wont freeze audio without glitches & notes are playing on wrong midi channels, hanging, glitching, saturating out in to a silent sand storm, even playing wen theres nothing there...cmd 1 ( all notes off ), is doing nothing, you have to press the keys again to get it to stop... no idea where the fault is, might be DP might be VSL..... anyway, to those looking at the system update... give it a few days b4 install. & just so you know, the update did not fix the new magic mouse either.. its still jumping all over the place & desperately un-precise..

    Hi Maya, thanks for responding.

    I did have 4416 installed which was all working well until the 10.6.2 update.. after which the trouble started.. i tried 4657 (public beta) just incase that would fix it.. but unfortunately not.. midi notes are all over the place, hanging & really does have a mind of its own.. On a positive note, the instruments seem to be running fine outside of ensemble pro as separate instances, so work is continuing.. like the old days 1 part at a time ;) thanks for looking in to it Maya, i look forward to an update so i can get VE pro back in action.

    weird, i'm running DP 7.01, 10.6.2, and VE Pro (the 4657 beta) on my 2.26 Ghz 8-Core Mac Pro with 16GB of ram and I'm not having any problems at all.  In fact I loaded a 76 Instrument template up tonight and it was ridiculously smooth!

    Is DP's Pre-Rendering set to "All instruments in real time"?

    Are you using an audio interface with your Mac Pro?  My MOTU 828mk3 is acting crazy right now with DP (little audible clicks everywhere) so I'm waiting for them to update the drivers so it works right.

    Since I have a working system you may want to post this over at MotuNation as well.  There are some really great guys there who know a lot more than I do.

    Dear Elektroakoustika,

    thanks for reporting, I didn´t encounter problems either (so far).

    Did you already install the security update for OS 10.6.2?
    Apple fixed some serious issues in the Security Update 2009-006/Mac OS X v10.6.2 patch bundle:

    The greatest quality in a man is to be able to admit there wrong... no idea what ive done, why it did it.. but everything working ok now, i think the project wasn't connected properly as the green "connected" never appeared wen i was having the problems.. all seems ok now. thanks for looking deeper & apologise if ive wasted any time.. everything rocking again, but will keep an eye out, it was a bit weird.. so here goes.. i was wrong :)
