Hi all!

What is the difference between Legato patches and Performance Legato patches?

MacPro dual quad 2.8
10 GB Ram
OS Snow Leopard 10.6.4
4 x 500 GB Sata internal
1x 2TB external (backup)
Logic 9.1.1
iLok + Synchrosoft
RME FF800
VSL SE
EWQLSO
EWQLSC

there is no difference. It´s just 2 ways to name the same feature.

As Paul says, in VSL libraries 'legato' is just a short way of saying 'performance legato'. Can you give the full names of the two types of legato patch you're seeing in SE?

What I saw was this, in the Epic Horns section:

Legato

perf.rep legato

However, another question arises; what's the difference between those two then?

Legato = interval-based samples optimised for legato melody lines.

Perf-rep legato = 'repetition' performances optimised for legato repeated notes.
