  • VE PRO VST3 and audio ports

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but the new features that have recently been added to VE PRO have made me curious. Is it more efficient to have multiple VE PRO instances or just one with lots of ports activated? For example, I am able to make 128audio outputs (64 pairs) in a single VE PRO instance, along with 64 total midi channels (8 ports with 16 channels each). If I were to instead use 2 instances with 32 stereo outputs each, would that mean in terms of CPU utilization and additional RAM use? The additional instance would add to my total RAM use, correct?

  •  Actually you can have many more MIDI ports than that...!

In answer to your question, I tried one large instance and 6 smaller ones, and it made very little if any difference to my set-up. I think the best thing to do is to test it for yourself, as I'm sure all systems work slightly differently depending on what other plugs you use.
