    Hi,

    Just bough this new Aceer laptop: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041RSFQE/ref=oss_product to take with me on tour.

    Windows 7 64

    8gb ram

    i7

    54rpm

    When I load the project loading 2.5gb of VSL sounds into ram it takes about 8 minutes.

    The same project on my Xeon dual core 32gb ram loads in about 3 minutes.

    I wonder if this is normal and whether or not there is something I can do to speed the loading time up.

    I tryied loading it from the internal 54rmp HD (c) as well as from external esata and a usb drives. Same project takes about the same time to load.

    Is this normal for a laptop?

    I appreciate your advise.

    Just resaved the project in a VI pro enviroment and it loads a lot faster now but still not nearly as fast as on my server.

    Are there any tweaks to the system that I can do to spead up the loading time?
