  • VE Pro & Cinebrass GUI

    Hi,

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where the Cinebrass GUI (specifically the Mapping buttons down the left hand side) don't function when Kontakt is loaded as an instance in VEP (but do work with Kontakt as stand-alone)? I think they used to work fine [not entirely certain] , but haven't for the last 2 VEP updates

    Tested with Kontakt's 4 & 5 running on VEP 4.1.8861 - both 32 & 64 versions.

  • Didn't check CineBrass, yet but Albion has the same issues. The controls are missing!

  • This is also a problem with Voxos. However, it is only a problem with the last version of Kontakt 4 (and I believe Kontakt 5). it is not a problem with earlier versions of Kontakt. Hopefully this will help to narrow down how/why Native Instruments introduced the problem in the first place.

  • Haven't noticed a problem here. Seems to work fine.

    Hi orchetect,

Could you be a little more specific? Which Kontakt based library (or libraries) is working with which version of Kontakt within which version of VE Pro?

  • Just noticed this too after installing the Cinebrass v1.1 update. I have the latest versions of both VEPro and Kontakt 4.

  • I have the same issue here on VEPro Mac and PC. This happens with a few kontakt libraries. Any comment on VSL on this? I spoke to the Cinebrass developers and they mentioned there's an issue with kontakt scripts not being displayed properly in VE Pro.

  • It seems kontakt scripts and other VI's do not work unless you have the instance CONNECTED to your DAW. For example, if I load Tonehammer's Liberis in VE pro server, I can open Liberis and the scripts do not work. However, once I actually connect the instance to Logic, the scripts work fine. This is a major PAIN, especially for things like Superior Drummer. SD will not load ANY samples until I connect my PC VE pro slave to my Mac Logic DAW and hit the "reload" arrow in VE pro. This means that even though I work decoupled to save loading times, I still have to wait until after my project loads in order to get VE pro to load my drum samples. GRRR!!!

  • Nope, I'm running it with DP 7.24, and having exactly the same problems with cinebrass, connected or not connected.

Never used to have these problems before updating to cinebrass 1.1 (am on Kontakt 4, latest version).

    Anyone else?

This is a pretty bad design flaw in those plugins. Loading of data or GUI operation should never depend on audio processing. We may implement a workaround for this somewhere in the future, but it would make more sense to contact the manufacturers of these plugins.

  • As I say, this has nothing to do with the Cinebrass problem. Loaded up in Kontakt (either in standalone or in DP) it works fine, but loaded up in Kontakt in VE Pro, and the graphics are all over the place/unreadable, which means it's unusable, as you can't see what/where you're clicking. Connected or no disconnected to a DAW makes no difference.

    Ideas?

  • Maybe I can bump this up to the top of the discussion,

I recently upgraded to the Cinebrass 1.5 CORE library, and i'm experiencing the same thing as described in this thread.

My 1.1 version works perfectly.  but the 1.5 GUI is all over the place.

It works and looks fine in stand alone Kontakt 5.  But if I open Kontakt 5 within VEPRO 5 it looks crazy.

    Very strange..

Anyone know a fix to this??

    Thanks!

  • Found a fix..  Sorry if I jumped the gun on this post.. I panicked

But, as I read on another post, if you connect to VEPRO all of a sudden the GUI works!

very odd.. when I discovered the problem, I was just loading in the samples in VE PRO and not actually connected to DP..

But it works.  Hope this helps anyone else who expierences this.
