  • [SOLVED]"the file you are trying to load is invalid or inaccessible"

    hello !!

    here's my issue:

    - I start the 64 bit server of VEPRO v5.0.10683 ( I tried it with both the following instance's settings : 64 audio outputs and 32 audio outputs, midi and inputs left on default)

    - I start Pro Tools 9.0.3 and load a project, all the related vframes load together with it

    - When I try to reload any of the related vframes (with the daw opened, oc) , in place of the same vframe which was loaded at the very start ( either by using the "open" menu, or by doubleclickin on the vframe file or drag'n'dropping it inside vepro, this is what I get randomly in alternative:

A - the vframe loads normally and works

B - the vframe loads but all the outputs of the kontakt instances which are inside vepro instance are silenced and kontakt's output section is greyed-out

    C - I get this message:

"the file you are trying to load is invalid or inaccessible"

and clicking on "Raise" in the plugin, the vframe appear as A) but more often as B)

D - Vepro crashes unexpectedly, and this is the following report

Please make some light to this weird enigma, it happens since the 1st version of vepro 5
Thanks in advance for help !!!

  • mmm...I think I've sorted it out....lemme do some tests

  • ok, speaking in regards of my setup, there should be a bug related to the vepro 5 gui, in the sense that whether you save your vframe or reload it , having it saved before by keeping detached at least one of the kontakt instances' gui from the vepro mixer desktop, this may lead to a crash of the server application...instead, if you always remember to re-attach all the kontakt's instances before to save the vframe so before to reload it, ithe app will work straight without any crash.

Hhope this can help, in case someone else has the same issue or vsl engineers decide to replicate it in order to fix it

  •  I have this problem with two of my old setups ... there's any way to solve it without rebuild the project ?

  • I changed my MIDI inputs/ports in the two preference location to 16 and no more crashes or complaints as below: For some reason, my settings had changed to 8 MIDI inputs and 32 Audio ports. Ensemble had 16 channels setup in the mixer. In Vienna Ensemble version 5.3.13260 64-bit, I saved the Ensemble project, and loaded the same with the "Open Project button. It used to respond with: The file you are trying to load is invalid or inaccessible or it sometimes crashed. Solved now.
