  • More weird behaviour

As my large orchestral project progresses more and more weird behaviour is occuring. Yesterday some woodwind instruments had stopped reacting to any note with an accent (having played perfectly well before) Today Some brass instruments have stopped reacting to accents when yesterday they also played OK. This is now becoming something of a nightmare after a solid month of hard work it all seems to be falling down about my ears (to coin a phrase).

Why is this weirdeness happening? Is their a known problem, with behaviour when you get to 70+ VIs. It's not my RAM which is still only half used up.

    I want my accents back.

    I'm depressed.[:(]

  •  I had something like that some months ago. I resolved the problem by reupdating my libraries (drag-drop viupdate files into Directory Manager)

Hope it will work for you

  • Hi David!

If it's only the accents that make problems, I recommend editing the accent enrty of the Sibelius dictionary. Go to Play/Dictionary/Articulations/Accent and remove the entry under Sound ID change. This entry is only for the Special Edition and SE PLUS anyway and as far as I can see you are using the big DVD collections.

Apart from that it sometimes helps adding the Technique Text "ord.", "natural" or "normal" to the score. This resets the Sound ID of a staff.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Andi
