I use VE pro on a PC (Dual 2.67 GHz, 24 core, 24G Ram, Win 7 64 bit, Pro Tools 10)
I have always had this issue with VE Pro... through all versions, and I'm current right now.
When I load a session with large Vienna Orchestral Instruments, or with East West Play instruments, they load VERY slowly... today, in fact, I have been trying all day on a session. Sometimes I'll walk away and come back and it has just stopped (see screenshot at http://www.russellspurlock.com/images/screenshots/vienna%20slow%20loading.JPG)
ProTools is not responding because it's waiting for VEPro
You can see that one core is maxed out.... this always happens.... and none of the other cored are being used.
Any ideas?
It's not on EVERY session either... only on some... and I'm having a hard time pinpointing which ones cause it, but I think it's generally when loading them for the first time (after a restart)
