  • ViennaMirPro 24 Audio Input settings with Digital Performer 7.24

I can't get audio to route from DP 7 to Mir24's audio input.  I add an audio channel in DP7/VEPro5 and route this to an RME fireface channels 5-6 and nothing happens. I must be missing something.

Can someone explain how to correctly route audio into MIR24 within Digital Performer?

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Bruce, you will need the so called "Vienna Ensemble Pro Audio Input" plug-in to route audio _to_ VE Pro. A conventional audio-output won't do (as long as you don't use some fancy internal re-routing options of your RME-hardware, which would make thinks much more complicated than they actually are).

    P. 43 ff of the VE Pro manual might be helpful, too. :-)

    Kind regards,

  • Thanks Dietz,

I have added the Audio Input in VEPRO5. It gives me input options 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8, In from where? I cannot send a DP audio bus channel to it. I cannot send an RME output channel to it.  Please clarify the routing procedure. I don't see anything in the manual on how to set this up. Does it have anything to do with the Event Input in DP?

  • The VE Pro Audio Input plugin is a normal effect plugin. So if you want to route audio from DP to VE Pro, you just put the VE Pro Audio Input plugin on the audio track and assign it to a connected VE Pro Server Interface. The "Audio Input" combobox corresponds to the audio inputs available in the connected VE Pro instance, which can be routed into the mixer in the VE Pro instance by adding an Input channel there.

  • A perfect explanation and success! Bravo Karel.
