    From what I recall I have never had issues with this in the past but with the lastest VEP 5 update I cannot see the Client residing on the same machine as the Server (an 8 core Mac Pro. I can see my other 2 PC clients but not the version on my main Mac Pro. I turned off the macs internal firewall, but this wouldn't seem to be an issue since it is not over LAN and is on the same machine. Please advise some troubleshooting tips. Thanks

    Have you checked that "advertise on local network" is checked in VEP Preferences?

    That must be the issue. But I cannot find that option anymore in the Preferences: http://screencast.com/t/3n7MVlOUwkD

    Those are the preferences of the VE Pro standalone application. What you need is the VE Pro Server application.

    Sorry about that. It's been a while since I did a Localhost connection with VEP and when I did a spotlight search for Vienna, the "server" version did not show up. Problem solved
