    I've got Cubase 7 running on a master computer and VE Pro running on a slave. Both machines are Windows 7 64 bit.

    I saw the thread from 2011 about an older version of Play 3 and VE Pro where some samples would load twice.

    I'm having this same behavior with VE Pro 5.1.11947 and Play 3.0.4.0. Many samples (but not all) seem to be loading twice. When they do load twice, in Task Manager, you can see the memory suddenly go down, then it begins loading the samples again and the RAM usage goes back up.

    Then, when it seems like everything has  finished loading (all RAM usage seems to be appropriately filled), I click on an instance of Play in side VE Pro, and VE Pro hesitates. Then it begins to re-load the samples associated with that particular instance. As if some samples loaded twice in the initial loading of the metaframe, and some samples will wait to load twice until I click on an instance of Play.

    Is anyone else having this issue?

    Thank you for confirming. I may load up the previous version of VE Pro and see if it happens there.

    Hello , Load times on my template have dramatically increased in 5.1.11947 with Play 3.0.40 , was about to go back to previous version and was hoping it wasn't just me , but obviously not . P.

    Going back to 5.1.11849 fixes it for me. Load times are back to what seems normal, too.

    How do install an older version of VEP5? Is it as simple as installing it over the new version? I am having the same problem and am willing to reinstall the older version, just seeing how to do that? On a mac, using lion, Thanks, Chris

    Christopher, what operating system are you on? I deleted the whole of VE Pro and restarted my computer, then re-installed the last version of VE Pro (5.1.11849 I believe). You can get this file from the User Area on VSL's site (Under User Area/Software/VE Pro 5)

    If your on windows 7, go to Start Menu/Programs and Features and find the VE Pro in the list and delete it. Then restart your computer and re-install the older version. If you're on Windows XP, I think you'll look under Add/Remove Programs.

    Oh, sorry, just reliazed you said you were on a mac. Don't know how to do that. And it's probably not necessary to completely delete/restart on Windows or Mac.

    I just decided to for troubleshooting reasons.

    Yikes - VSL - let's us know when it's 'safe' to update.  Have quite a few instances of play.

    Thank you very much! I don;t know how to uninstall a program on a mac, so do I just install the older version on top of the new version? I don't need to uninstall it first? If that's correct, then I will go ahead an update it now, I just don't want to do it till I know that I'm not going to mess something up by installing an older version on top of a new version... Thanks

    I am having problems where Kontakt is not loading its samples....they are purged....not all but many of the samples.  SOunds like it might be related to the PLAY problem.
